The Academy announced Hathaway as a presenter on March 5, 2026. She was not competing for a nomination that evening. The 98th Academy Awards took place on Sunday, March 15, at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.

What Anne Hathaway wore
A contemporaneous report described Hathaway’s look as a strapless floral gown made of silk tapestry, with a belt and a floor-length train. Elbow-length gloves completed the outfit. The report credits stylist Erin Walsh.

The same report says Hathaway wore Bulgari diamonds from the Eclettica high jewelry line, including a necklace and chandelier earrings. It describes her shoes as black satin heeled sandals by Roger Vivier. Exact jewelry and shoe models are not identified.

The fashion report calls this Hathaway’s first Oscars attendance since 2014. The 12-year description compares the 2014 and 2026 ceremonies; it does not establish a more precise elapsed interval. For the earlier appearance, the report says she wore a custom black Gucci gown. That wardrobe detail is attributable to the fashion report, not confirmed by the Academy materials.
