The trailer chronology matters: Disney+ UK announced a teaser trailer on February 24, 2025, while StarWars.com called its March 24 video the season’s “final trailer” and noted that a first trailer had arrived earlier.
Are K-2SO and Krennic in Andor Season 2?
Yes. StarWars.com identifies Alan Tudyk as the performer behind K-2SO and Ben Mendelsohn as Director Orson Krennic in Season 2 materials. Both are familiar from Rogue One. Saw Gerrera, played by Forest Whitaker, is another Rogue One character included in the trailer’s context.
The season follows the escalating conflict between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire, with the construction of the Death Star looming over events. Creator and executive producer Tony Gilroy described Cassian’s story as a journey through the four years leading up to Rogue One.
When did the Andor Season 2 trailers come out?
- February 24, 2025: Disney+ UK announced a teaser trailer and poster for the season.
- March 24, 2025: StarWars.com published what it called the “final trailer” and referred to an earlier first trailer.
So the March video is not accurately described as the first trailer. The official chronology distinguishes the February teaser from the March final trailer.
When did Andor Season 2 premiere?
StarWars.com listed April 22, 2025, as the Disney+ premiere date. Disney+ UK listed April 23, 2025, for the UK launch. Those dates are territory-specific, not conflicting universal dates.
How was Season 2 released?
StarWars.com and Disney+ UK described the season as 12 episodes arranged in four chapters of three episodes each, with chapters arriving weekly. That structure lets the story move through the four years before Rogue One in distinct time-spanning installments.

What did Tony Gilroy say about the season?
Gilroy described the series’ broad cast and moral scale: “One of the great thrills of making Andor is the scale of the story and the number of characters we’re able to meet — ordinary people, Imperial overlords, passionate revolutionaries. They are real people making epic decisions, all of them staring down questions with terrifying consequences. Cassian’s journey is the soul and spine of our story, but it’s the choir that makes the show. I’m so excited for audiences to see where we go in Season 2.”
StarWars.com also confirmed new Season 2 poster art. That announcement establishes that artwork exists; it does not establish a specific physical retail listing.
