Una aparición de Amelia Vega en Santo Domingo en septiembre de 2024 provocó preguntas sobre un posible embarazo, pero no fue un anuncio ni confirmó que estuviera esperando un bebé. La especulación surgió por el vestido que llevaba y por una respuesta que, según People en Español, dejó la pregunta abierta.
Qué ocurrió en el evento de Santo Domingo
El 13 de septiembre de 2024, People en Español publicó un reportaje de Leonela Taveras sobre la asistencia de Vega a una ceremonia en honor a su esposo, Al Horford. Según el medio, Horford recibió la Orden al Mérito de los Padres de la Patria en el grado de caballero.
La nota contó que algunas personas presentes le preguntaron a Vega si estaba esperando otro hijo. Por eso circularon expresiones como “si estaba en la dulce espera” y “un nuevo embarazo”: describían la pregunta del momento, no una noticia confirmada.
El vestido que llamó la atención
El reportaje describió un vestido camisero holgado, largo hasta los tobillos y con estampado de leopardo y mangas tres cuartos. Vega lo combinó con zapatos verdes y un bolso de mano verde intenso.

La publicación no identificó la marca, el diseñador, la tienda ni el precio del vestido. Por tanto, cualquier prenda encontrada buscando un estilo parecido sería solo una alternativa, no una identificación de la pieza que llevaba Vega.
Qué respondió Amelia Vega
People en Español atribuyó a Vega, ante cámaras de Listín Diario, la frase: “dejar que el tiempo hable porque un embarazo no se puede negar”. La nota también indicó que aludió a haber dado a luz a cinco hijos y a que la pareja estaba abierta a formar una familia, aunque prefería dejar la cuestión en suspenso por el momento.
La frase se publicó como un comentario atribuido a Vega, no como una confirmación. El artículo de septiembre de 2024 no aporta una actualización posterior sobre su situación.
