For the 2024/25 Champions League in the UK and Ireland, Gabby Logan presented Amazon Prime Video’s coverage. The season’s listed pundits included Clarence Seedorf, Daniel Sturridge, Frank Lampard, Gaël Clichy, Josie Henning and Laura Georges. Jon Champion and Alan Shearer commentated, while Gabriel Clarke and Alex Aljoe conducted stadium interviews. These are season-level names, not a claim that everyone appeared on every match.
Who was on Amazon Prime Video’s 2024/25 Champions League coverage?
| Broadcast role | Names |
|---|---|
| Presenter | Gabby Logan |
| Pundits | Clarence Seedorf, Daniel Sturridge, Frank Lampard, Gaël Clichy, Josie Henning and Laura Georges |
| Commentators | Jon Champion and Alan Shearer |
| Stadium reporting and interviews | Gabriel Clarke and Alex Aljoe |
The role distinctions matter: Logan hosted, the listed pundits provided analysis, Champion and Shearer called the action, and Clarke and Aljoe worked on stadium interviews. The season preview described the pundit list as including these six names; it should not be treated as proof that they were the complete pool of contributors. Sporting News’ season report, published 1 October 2024, gives the listed roles.
Was this the same line-up for every match?
No match-by-match roster is established by the season-level reports. Amazon’s completed-season retrospective also names Wayne Rooney among the wider broadcast team, alongside Clarence Seedorf, Daniel Sturridge, Alex Aljoe, Alan Shearer, Jon Champion and Gabby Logan. Taken together, the reports identify the season’s broadcast team, not a fixed cast for every fixture. Amazon’s 27 May 2025 season retrospective provides the additional names.
Which Champions League games did Amazon show?
In the UK and Ireland, Amazon’s 2024/25 arrangement covered selected fixtures rather than every Champions League match. During the league phase, the contemporaneous season report said Amazon showed one Tuesday match each week and held the first Tuesday evening pick; other games were on TNT Sports/discovery+. Amazon’s retrospective says its season covered 17 fixtures from the play-off stage through the semi-finals. These details describe the UK and Ireland offer and should not be assumed to apply in other territories. The Sporting News report describes the weekly league-phase selection; Amazon’s retrospective gives the completed-season fixture count.

What did Amazon report about the season’s audience?
Amazon reported more than 13 million viewers for its 2024/25 Champions League debut season in the UK and Ireland. This is the company’s reported figure, not an independently audited audience count. Amazon also said the season was Prime Video’s most-watched season of sport in Europe. Alex Green, Managing Director of Prime Video Sport, International, said: “These record audiences show how the reach and accessibility of Prime extends these huge European matches to even more fans,” Amazon’s season retrospective attributes those claims to the company.
Amazon also reported more than five million viewers across the evening of Paris Saint-Germain’s win over Liverpool, and more than five million for PSG’s semi-final win over Arsenal. It said Arsenal and Manchester City matches against Real Madrid were well over four million viewers. These are Amazon-published figures for those events, not third-party audience audits.

How did Amazon describe its broadcast production?
Green credited the production team with 90 minutes of pre-match coverage and a constant pitch-side presence, which he said fans had responded to. That description is Amazon’s account of its production approach for the season, rather than an independent assessment.

No. This article identifies the UK and Ireland team for the 2024/25 season. Amazon’s maintained viewing guide covers the later 2025/26 season, so its personnel and viewing information should not be used to revise the historical roster.
