This is a historical watch list for August 25–31, 2025—not a guide to what is streaming this week. The available contemporaneous coverage confirms two major Prime Video premieres for that week: Upload season 4 and The Terminal List: Dark Wolf. A separate weekly guide also recommends the documentary series Helter Skelter: An American Myth for Prime Video in the US, but the exact five-show list implied by the original headline could not be verified.
What was worth streaming on Prime Video that week?
The strongest premiere-week picks supported by contemporaneous coverage were two very different series: a science-fiction comedy reaching its finale and an espionage thriller expanding an established franchise. For documentary viewers, a separate guide offered Helter Skelter: An American Myth as an anytime Prime Video-US option. These are independently sourced suggestions, not a reconstruction of an unverified five-title list.
| Show | Genre and premise | Timing and commitment | Franchise context |
|---|---|---|---|
| Upload, season 4 | Science-fiction comedy concluding its story | Premiered Monday, August 25, 2025; CableTV reported all four episodes were available that day. | The final season of the series. |
| The Terminal List: Dark Wolf | Espionage prequel following Ben Edwards, played by Taylor Kitsch, from Navy SEAL service toward CIA operations; Chris Pratt appears as James Reece. | Series premiere Wednesday, August 27, 2025. The cited weekly guide does not state an episode count. | Connected to The Terminal List; the source does not describe it as a direct adaptation of Jack Carr’s novel. |
| Helter Skelter: An American Myth | Documentary series about Charles Manson and his followers, using interviews and archival material. | Listed as an anytime Prime Video-US suggestion by My Summer Lair on August 25, 2025; no episode count is stated. | Standalone documentary suggestion in the cited guide. |
New premieres for the week
Upload season 4
CableTV reported that the final season premiered on Monday, August 25, with all four episodes available that day. That made it a compact choice for viewers who wanted to finish the series in one sitting or spread its concluding episodes across the week. The source characterizes season 4 as the story’s conclusion. CableTV’s August 25–31, 2025 watch guide is the basis for these premiere-week details.
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf
The same CableTV guide reports that The Terminal List: Dark Wolf premiered Wednesday, August 27. It follows Ben Edwards, played by Taylor Kitsch, in a prequel story tracing his path from Navy SEAL service toward CIA operations; Chris Pratt returns as James Reece. The series suits viewers looking for a military and intelligence thriller, while its prequel framing gives it a connection to The Terminal List without making it a direct adaptation of Carr’s book.

Jack Carr co-created Dark Wolf with David DiGilio. Carr’s novel is source material for the original The Terminal List, not a novelization of Dark Wolf. Viewers interested in the franchise’s literary starting point can look to The Terminal List as an optional read after watching.

Helter Skelter: An American Myth
For a nonfiction pick, My Summer Lair’s August 25, 2025 guide lists Helter Skelter: An American Myth as an anytime Prime Video-US suggestion. It describes the documentary series as examining Charles Manson and his followers through interviews and archival material. This listing is not evidence that the series was among the original headline’s five choices. See My Summer Lair’s August 25–31, 2025 guide.

- Streaming catalogs vary by country and change over time. The 2025 guides do not establish whether any of these titles are available on Prime Video today, so check the service in your region before planning a watch.
