Amazon announced Amazon Music Live on October 17, 2022, as a weekly concert series scheduled to stream on Prime Video after Thursday Night Football. Its first episode was set for October 27, 2022. This is a historical announcement; the original release does not establish whether the series is available or active today.
What Amazon announced
Amazon Music Live was a weekly concert livestream hosted by 2 Chainz and produced before a live audience in Los Angeles. Amazon positioned the concerts after its Thursday-night football broadcast, extending the evening from sports into live music. The company said it would stream the concerts worldwide on Prime Video and make them available on demand for a limited time. Amazon’s October 17, 2022 announcement did not specify the replay window’s length.
2 Chainz was also slated to interview each night’s performer during Thursday Night Football shoulder programming, linking the artists to the football broadcast before their concerts.
Premiere date and first announced performers
The premiere was scheduled for October 27, 2022, after that night’s game. Amazon initially named three performers and said more artists would be announced later in the season.

Where viewers could watch
Prime Video was the principal destination named in Amazon’s announcement, which described the live stream as available worldwide. That is Amazon’s stated availability, not a guarantee that rights, timing, or replay access were identical in every country. Contemporaneous coverage also reported a simulcast on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch; that additional platform detail was reported by Thurrott.
The concerts were scheduled to begin after Thursday Night Football, not at one fixed clock time. Game length varies, so viewers could not assume the concert would start at the same time each Thursday. Amazon promised limited-time on-demand viewing, but did not give a specific expiry date or promise a permanent archive.

Did viewers need Prime Video or Amazon Music Unlimited?
The announcement identified Prime Video as a viewing destination but did not spell out which Prime Video entitlement was required in each market. It also did not say that an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription was required. The release’s separate description of Amazon Music subscription options is not evidence of a concert-stream paywall, so viewers should not infer that music-catalog access and concert access had the same requirements.
Could fans attend in person?
Amazon said the Los Angeles episodes would be filmed before a live audience, with attendance facilitated through DICE by invitation only. The announcement did not describe a general public ticket sale or provide ticket prices. DICE was therefore part of the invitation process, not a confirmed way for anyone to buy admission.

Why put concerts after football?
Amazon’s stated framing was to connect music discovery with the Thursday-night football audience and give performers a platform after the game. Strategically, pairing the formats could also keep viewers within Amazon’s live entertainment ecosystem and promote its music and video services; that is an interpretation of the programming choice, not a stated internal business objective.
