Alvida is an East Blue pirate captain known as “Iron Mace Alvida.” In the manga and anime story, she first encounters Luffy while she is still heavy; after eating the Sube Sube no Mi, her appearance changes dramatically. The official character profile lists her with a 5,000,000-berry bounty and connects her to Buggy’s Delivery and the Buggy and Alvida alliance.
Who is Alvida in One Piece?
Alvida is one of the first pirate captains Luffy encounters in the East Blue story. Her defining weapon is a large iron mace, reflected in her official epithet, “Iron Mace Alvida.” The official ONE PIECE.com character profile lists her bounty as 5,000,000 berries, an in-world figure rather than a real-world measure.
The profile’s Japanese summary describes her as “Captain of the Buggy & Alvida Alliance. A powerful woman who swings a huge iron mace.” That is a literal translation of the profile, not an official English rendering.
What happens to Alvida after she meets Luffy?
In the manga and anime continuity, Alvida meets Luffy while she is still heavy. After that encounter, she eats the Sube Sube no Mi, and her appearance changes dramatically. The official profile links the fruit to this transformation but does not give a full account of its mechanics.

What is Alvida’s Devil Fruit power?
Alvida’s fruit is the Sube Sube no Mi. The official character profile confirms the name and her changed appearance after eating it, but does not explain precisely how the power works or establish its limits. Claims about specific forms of immunity, movement techniques, or other detailed effects go beyond what that profile confirms.
Which crew is Alvida part of?
The official profile associates Alvida with Buggy’s Delivery and describes her as captain of the Buggy and Alvida alliance. This is the manga/anime profile’s organizational context; it should not be confused with the separate live-action series’ description of her crew.

How Netflix’s live-action Alvida differs
Netflix’s adaptation presents Alvida as captain of the Alvida Pirates. Its live-action antagonist guide says she holds Koby prisoner until Luffy punches her off her ship, identifies her spiked iron mace, and lists her in episodes 1 and 8. Netflix’s ONE PIECE A-Z guide describes Koby as her abused servant, freed by Luffy and encouraged to pursue his dream of joining the Marines.
Those are details of Netflix’s live-action continuity. They do not establish that its Alvida has the same Devil Fruit story or power portrayal as the manga/anime character. The official Netflix guide identifies the series as an adaptation created in partnership with Shueisha and produced by Tomorrow Studios and Netflix.
