LaRussell also had a second game-day role: he served as the in-stadium house band. That makes him part of the official Super Bowl LX entertainment program in two distinct capacities, rather than simply a supporting act at a separate tailgate event. The NFL said the concert was livestreamed on Peacock and carried on 120 iHeart stations and the iHeartRadio app. The NFL’s Tailgate Concert announcement provides the event details.
Green Day opened the NFL’s 60th-anniversary ceremony
Green Day performed during the opening ceremony celebrating the Super Bowl’s 60th anniversary. The East Bay band played at Levi’s Stadium as generations of Super Bowl MVPs were honored and brought onto the field.
The band was identified as consisting of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool. NFL photo coverage specifically shows Armstrong and Dirnt performing during the ceremony. This was a separate presentation from both the formal pregame songs and the halftime show. The anniversary ceremony aired on NBC, Telemundo, Peacock, and Universo. See the NFL’s announcement about Green Day and the anniversary ceremony.
Formal pregame songs
Three principal vocal performances made up the formal pregame music lineup:
| Performer | Song or assignment |
|---|---|
| Charlie Puth | National Anthem |
| Brandi Carlile | “America the Beautiful” |
| Coco Jones | “Lift Every Voice and Sing” |
These were not merely announced bookings that were later canceled or changed. NFL postgame video and photo materials confirm that Puth, Carlile, and Jones performed their assigned songs at Super Bowl LX. The original NFL announcement is available in the league’s pregame performer listing.

Signed performances were part of the official program
Super Bowl LX’s official performer accounting also includes the signed presentations. These were presented as part of the pregame and halftime entertainment—not as incidental accessibility services that should be omitted from the lineup.
| Performer | Signed performance |
|---|---|
| Fred Beam | National Anthem and “Lift Every Voice and Sing” |
| Julian Ortiz | “America the Beautiful” |
| Celimar Rivera Cosme | Halftime show in Puerto Rican Sign Language |
The halftime signing presentation was multilingual. NFL material specifically identifies Rivera Cosme’s contribution as being in Puerto Rican Sign Language, while Beam and Ortiz were assigned to the corresponding signed pregame songs.
Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show
Bad Bunny headlined the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show. The Puerto Rican artist was the central performer, with Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin appearing as guest performers.
Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin should be described as halftime guests, not co-headliners. Apple’s official recap calls the completed performance a show featuring both artists, while NFL coverage and official photography independently document the halftime appearance. Apple’s official Super Bowl LX halftime-show recap is the clearest source for the guest list, and the NFL announced Bad Bunny as the headliner in its halftime-show coverage.
Fans who want to revisit the music behind Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl moment can look for the Bad Bunny DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS vinyl edition. It is a music release connected to the halftime headliner, not official Super Bowl LX merchandise; price, stock, seller, and availability can change.
How the Super Bowl LX entertainment sequence fit together
The phrase “from tailgate to halftime” covers several separate segments rather than one continuous concert:

- Tailgate: LaRussell opened for Teddy Swims, with LaRussell also serving as the in-stadium house band.
- 60th-anniversary ceremony: Green Day opened the NFL’s celebration of six decades of Super Bowl history.
- Formal pregame: Charlie Puth, Brandi Carlile, and Coco Jones performed the three principal ceremonial songs, with Fred Beam and Julian Ortiz providing the signed versions.
- Halftime: Bad Bunny headlined, joined by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, while Celimar Rivera Cosme led the Puerto Rican Sign Language rendition of the show.
That structure explains why a complete list contains more names than a simple “halftime performers” article. It also prevents two common errors: treating every Super Bowl-week concert as part of the official game-day lineup, and leaving the signed performers out of the entertainment accounting.

Where audiences could watch the performances
The Tailgate Concert was livestreamed on Peacock, with an additional radio and app distribution through iHeart. NBC, Telemundo, Peacock, and Universo carried the anniversary ceremony. The halftime show was presented under the Apple Music Super Bowl branding, and Apple published an official recap and replay-related material after the event.
Because streaming libraries and replay rights can change after the event, check the current service listings before relying on a particular replay. The NFL’s coverage of the Tailgate Concert and Apple’s halftime recap are the best starting points for identifying the official material.
