All of You is a romantic drama about two longtime friends and a near-future test that claims to identify a person’s soulmate. Brett Goldstein and Imogen Poots star as Simon and Laura, whose closeness persists as their lives take different paths. The feature was released on Apple TV+ in 2025.
What is All of You about?
Simon and Laura have been best friends since college. In the film’s near-future setting, Laura takes a soulmate-matching test, and its result sends her down a different path. Years of unspoken feelings remain between the friends as their lives cross and diverge. The story asks whether they should risk changing the lives they have built to pursue the relationship they might have had; this synopsis does not reveal how that question is resolved.
The test is a speculative story device, not a real-world service or recommendation. Apple describes the film as humorous and heart-wrenching. The Associated Press review by Mark Kennedy frames it as a drama-rom-com about destiny, regret and lasting love, and discusses the emotional tone and lead performances as the critic’s assessment.

Runtime and tone
Apple’s US catalog lists a runtime of 1 hour 38 minutes. The Associated Press review gives 99 minutes, a one-minute difference; these are source-specific listings rather than a single reconciled runtime. The film’s intimate romance and years-spanning relationship may appeal to viewers who enjoy speculative premises and emotionally complicated love stories. Its R rating and melancholy themes may be a poor fit for viewers seeking a light, family-friendly rom-com.

In an Associated Press interview, Goldstein described the question behind the film as: “There’s someone in their life that is not their partner that they have a connection that feels more than friends, but what is that? What is love? And does it take away from the other?” The line points to the film’s focus on the tension between lasting friendship, romantic possibility and existing lives.
