Olympic pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis and Desiré Inglander are married. They first met at a Midsummer party in 2020, made their relationship public in 2021, became engaged in 2024 and held a wedding celebration in the South of France in June 2026.

They met at a Midsummer party in 2020. Inglander later recalled that she was not looking to date at the time. Duplantis said he tried to talk with her and asked her out before returning to the United States. Vogue Scandinavia’s relationship timeline recounts the early meeting.
When their relationship became public
Vogue Scandinavia dates their Instagram-public moment to March 2021. That June, they celebrated Midsummer together, a year after meeting.
When Duplantis proposed
Duplantis proposed in the Hamptons in October 2024. Inglander thought she was attending a Vogue Scandinavia photo shoot; after the beach proposal, they returned to find family and friends gathered as a surprise. In the magazine’s wedding feature, Inglander recalled: “He proposed at the beach, and when we walked up to the house, all of our loved ones were gathered as a surprise.”

When and where they married
The couple married in a civil ceremony at Stockholm City Hall on March 7, 2026, before their larger celebration. A June 7 report by Omni citing TT also said they had married civilly that spring. Their wedding celebration took place on June 12 at Château de Castellaras near Cannes, with a welcome party at Villa Eilenroc in Antibes and a pool party afterward at Villa Castel. The couple said the region was familiar to them and close to their home base in Monaco.
What they have shared about the wedding
The couple said they began serious wedding planning in spring 2025 and split responsibilities: Duplantis took charge of music and food, while Inglander handled flowers and details. They hired White Eden Weddings; Inglander said the planners made the process easier and helped the couple feel like guests at their own event.

In a December 2025 interview with The Guardian, Duplantis described the kiss with Inglander after his Olympic-record performance in Paris as spontaneous: “It wasn’t planned,” he said. “It just happened.”
