Alien: Earth is returning: FX’s science-fiction series was renewed for a second season in November 2025, and production began in London in July 2026. Disney has not announced a premiere date.
Has Alien: Earth been renewed for season 2?
Yes. Disney announced the renewal on November 12, 2025, confirming that Noah Hawley’s series would return for a second season. The announcement said filming was expected to begin in London in 2026. Disney’s renewal announcement also described Hawley’s continuing creative relationship with FX and Disney Entertainment Television.
Season 2 production has started in London
On July 10, 2026, Disney UK confirmed that production was underway in London. The announcement also added Tracey Ullman, Sam Spruell and Jerome Flynn to the cast, alongside previously announced Peter Dinklage. Noah Hawley is identified as the series creator. Disney UK’s production update is the latest cited status.
When will season 2 premiere?
No premiere date is confirmed in Disney’s July 2026 production announcement. A production start does not establish when filming will finish or when episodes will be released, so a specific season-two launch date should not be treated as official unless Disney announces one.

Where can you watch Alien: Earth?
Availability depends on the country and season. Disney says season two will stream exclusively on Disney+ in the UK. That UK statement does not establish the streaming destination in other territories. Disney UK’s announcement specifies the market.
In the United States, Hulu’s official series page currently lists season one, with eight episodes. That listing confirms the page’s season-one offering, not season-two availability or access in other countries. Check the service catalog for your location as release plans develop.
