When did the refurbishment open?
HOYTS announced its joint venture with ACE Cinemas in 2023 and said it would manage the Midland Gate facility from 5 October 2023. At the time, the company described a full refurbishment planned for early 2024. PerthNow’s 10 January 2025 report said the upgraded cinema had been officially unveiled to the public in mid-December; it did not give a precise day. The school-holiday wording refers to that original January 2025 coverage, not a current holiday event.
