A later or updated MCG page also lists November 16, 2025, but the original announcement and other cited listings do not establish how that entry relates to the five announced dates. The original five-date schedule is therefore distinct from any claim about the final number of performances.

What was the POWER UP Tour?
The Australian dates were part of AC/DC’s POWER UP Tour, named for the band’s 2020 album POWER UP. The official announcement said the album debuted at No. 1 on Australia’s ARIA chart and in 20 other countries. It also described the Australian run as AC/DC’s return to the country for the first time since 2015.
AC/DC’s 2025 announcement reported more than 2 million tickets sold across 24 tour shows. That is the figure and scope given by the band for the tour; it should not be confused with ABC News’ separate report of more than 2 million tickets sold in 24 hours during the European launch. The band’s announcement described 1.7 million tickets sold in the first days of sales.

The band’s official announcement stated: “AC/DC played their very first show on the 31st December 1973 at Chequers Nightclub in Sydney, Australia.” It also framed the 2025 concerts as a homecoming.
