The Patek Philippe reference 5004 is his stated favorite, and he told GQ he owns three versions. But despite the “multi-million-dollar” framing, no source cited here verifies the value of his complete collection.
How many watches does Kevin Hart own?
Hart told GQ in 2026 that he has more than 250 watches. That is the latest collection-size figure in the interviews covered here, not an independently audited inventory. The count is considerably higher than the brand-by-brand snapshot in a 2015 Haute Time interview, updated in 2016, which described a dozen Rolexes, five Richard Mille watches, and a couple each of Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet.
The figures come from different years and may reflect a collection that changed over time; the older brand counts should not be read as Hart’s current inventory.

Hart identifies the Patek Philippe reference 5004 as the watch that best captures qualities he relates to. Why the Patek Philippe 5004 stands out
Introduced in 1994, the 5004 combines a perpetual calendar with a split-seconds chronograph. The perpetual calendar tracks calendar information, including leap years, while the split-seconds function lets the wearer time multiple intervals that begin together. GQ describes it as a serially produced watch with an unusually complex combination of functions.
Hart also frames collecting as an interest in context and craft: “It’s understanding the birth of a watch, the family that it’s coming from, or if it’s a transition point for a brand,” he told GQ. In the same interview, he said, “I value my time. I put a lot of time, energy, and effort into whatever I do.”

What is Kevin Hart’s watch collection worth?
There is no verified total valuation for Hart’s collection in the sources cited here. GQ’s 2026 article gives an approximate secondary-market estimate of about $400,000 for precious-metal examples of the Patek Philippe 5004. That is a model-level estimate, not an appraisal of Hart’s three examples, and it does not establish the value of his other watches or of the collection as a whole. Market estimates can change and should not be confused with a realized sale price.
A separate 2026 WatchGuys estimate put the combined value of 16 watches worn by several people at Hart’s roast at more than $3.4 million. That event tally covers multiple attendees, not Hart’s personal collection.

How to read the collection’s appeal
The watches show different sides of collecting rather than a single uniform style. The Submariner, Daytona and Royal Oak are sports-watch designs; the Golden Ellipse is a dress-oriented design. The 5004’s appeal is partly its pairing of calendar and chronograph complications, while the Royal Oak Concept adds a tourbillon. Materials range from stainless steel and ceramic to precious metals, with the Golden Ellipse adding hand engraving. These differences help explain why a count or one headline estimate cannot describe the collection’s character—or establish its total value.
