Director Jared Hess confirms mini cameos by Minecraft creators Mumbo Jumbo, DanTDM and Aphmau in A Minecraft Movie. A published guide also lists LDShadowLady. The film includes other familiar faces, while a crown-wearing pig is a Technoblade tribute—not an appearance by Technoblade himself. These are distinct kinds of appearances, and the available sources do not establish a complete cameo roster.
Which YouTubers are in A Minecraft Movie?
Hess named Mumbo Jumbo, DanTDM and Aphmau as creators with “mini cameos.” In an interview with TechRadar, he said: “We’ve got some amazing Minecrafters that have mini cameos like Mumbo Jumbo, DanTDM, and Aphmau.”

ComingSoon’s April 7, 2025 guide also lists LDShadowLady. The official film pages describe the story and principal cast, but do not give a full creator-cameo list. The named creators are therefore the appearances supported by these sources, not a verified exhaustive roster; the sources do not provide scene timestamps.
DanTDM
DanTDM is one of the three creators Hess specifically confirmed. Prime Video listed a behind-the-scenes feature, DanTDM: A Minecraft Movie Edition, in which he discusses his experience and cameo. That listing is a feature, not a physical movie product, and does not establish current availability in every territory.

Mumbo Jumbo
Mumbo Jumbo’s cameo should not be confused with a separate sequence he helped design. Hess told TechRadar that the designed sequence did not make the final cut, while also confirming Mumbo Jumbo has a mini cameo in the released film. The cut sequence itself should not be treated as something viewers can see.
Aphmau and LDShadowLady
Hess names Aphmau as a cameo creator. LDShadowLady appears on ComingSoon’s list, but is not among the three creators quoted in Hess’s confirmation.

Is Technoblade in the movie?
ComingSoon describes a pig wearing a crown as a reference to Technoblade, whose channel icon featured a crowned pig. That is a visual Easter egg or tribute, not evidence that Technoblade appears in person or has a filmed cameo.
Which actors and voice performers have appearances?
Jennifer Coolidge
TheWrap’s April 4, 2025 cast guide identifies Jennifer Coolidge as Vice Principal Marlene, a named supporting role rather than a Minecraft-creator cameo.

Matt Berry
CinemaBlend’s March 28, 2025 interview chapter guide flags a discussion about the origins of Matt Berry’s voice cameo. The chapter listing does not give a fuller scene description, so it does not support a more specific account of his appearance.

A Minecraft Movie turns an open-ended game into a scripted adventure. Mojang’s film introduction describes Garrett, Henry, Natalie and Dawn being pulled into the Overworld and joining expert crafter Steve. Hess told the Associated Press, “There’s no story to the game, so there was a lot of creative license to kind of come up with.” That latitude helps explain why the film can mix its own plot and characters with creator appearances and visual nods to Minecraft culture.
The official film site credits Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures and says Warner Bros. distributed the movie worldwide. Its announced theatrical dates were April 4, 2025, in North America and April 2, 2025, internationally; those dates do not establish where the film is currently streaming.
