Its first official teaser had already arrived on October 9, 2025; HBO Max later published a final trailer on December 4. The announced premiere date was January 19 in Norway and Japan, reflecting local schedules rather than a conflicting US date.
When did A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms premiere?
The release date depended on the market. HBO’s US announcement set the premiere for January 18, 2026, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Warner Bros. Discovery Norway listed January 19, while Warner Bros. Japan said the series would begin streaming in Japan on January 19 at noon local time through HBO Max on U-NEXT.
| Market and service | Announced premiere | Schedule detail |
|---|---|---|
| United States — HBO and HBO Max | January 18, 2026, at 10 p.m. ET/PT | Six episodes, according to Warner Bros. Discovery US. |
| Norway — HBO Max | January 19, 2026 | Warner Bros. Discovery Norway announced six half-hour episodes, with a new episode each Monday. |
| Japan — HBO Max on U-NEXT | January 19, 2026, at noon Japan time | Warner Bros. Japan described the launch as simultaneous with the US release. |
