A.J. Brown announced his engagement to Kelsey Riley on May 3, 2025, while he was a Philadelphia Eagles receiver. Local reports later said the couple married in California in May 2026. Brown was traded to the New England Patriots in June 2026, so the Eagles description in the original headline reflects his team at the time of the engagement, not his current one.
Brown announced his engagement in Philadelphia
Brown shared the engagement news on social media on May 3, 2025, according to CBS Philadelphia. The outlet reported that he proposed to Riley at the Four Seasons in the Comcast Center in Center City, Philadelphia, with singer John Legend singing and playing piano. CBS Philadelphia also identified Riley as the mother of Brown’s son.
Reports say Brown and Riley married in 2026
PhillyVoice reported on May 18, 2026, that Brown and Riley married at Montage Laguna Beach in California. A May 21 report from 6abc said their ceremony and reception took place over the weekend. These accounts are local news reports; the details here are attributed to those outlets rather than presented as confirmation from official records.
In an interview with People, quoted by 6abc, Brown described marriage as “ [Marriage] means tying the knot and tying the covenant with God; me, her and God and making this thing official,”

The engagement announcement came while Brown played for Philadelphia. On June 1, 2026, the Associated Press reported that the Eagles traded him to the New England Patriots. The timeline matters: “Eagles star” identifies Brown’s team when he announced the engagement, not his team after the reported wedding.
