Gabby’s Dollhouse centers on Gabby, a cat-loving kid, and a memorable group of cat friends who live in an imaginative dollhouse world. The official DreamWorks character directory’s core roster includes Gabby, Pandy Paws, Cakey Cat, CatRat, MerCat, DJ Catnip, Kitty Fairy, Pillow Cat, Carlita, Baby Box and Marty the Party Cat. This guide explains who they are, what distinguishes them and which activities or spaces are associated with them.
What is Gabby’s Dollhouse?
DreamWorks Animation describes Gabby’s Dollhouse as a mixed-media preschool series created by Traci Paige Johnson and Jennifer Twomey. In the recurring setup, Gabby opens a surprise before entering the fantastical animated world inside her dollhouse, where she spends time with cat characters. Netflix describes Gabby as a cat-loving kid and Pandy Paws as her sidekick.
The show’s activity-based adventures are designed around imaginative play, flexible thinking and recovering from mistakes. DreamWorks puts that idea this way: “Rooted in a growth mindset, Gabby’s activity-based episodes encourage flexible thinking and learning from your mistakes.”
The franchise has also expanded into toys, books and other publishing, home goods, apparel, original music, an app and additional experiences. DreamWorks describes Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie as a road-trip adventure in which Gabby travels with Grandma Gigi to Cat Francisco, then works to reunite the Gabby Cats and save the dollhouse. The movie page lists September 26, 2025 as its theatrical release date; where and how it can be watched now depends on territory and current distribution.

Is this the complete list of characters?
It is the official directory’s named core roster, drawn from DreamWorks’ UK character directory. Because Gabby’s Dollhouse is an active franchise with a series, a movie and continuing merchandise, other episode-specific, movie-specific or future characters may exist outside this compact list. The directory should therefore be treated as a dependable starting reference rather than an exhaustive census of every appearance.
Why the characters work as a learning-friendly ensemble
Each core character has a quickly recognizable combination of form, personality and activity. That clarity helps children sort and remember the cast while the stories can move between cooking, music, science, gardening, making, rest and energetic play. The broader episode structure adds surprises and opportunities to adjust plans, reflecting DreamWorks’ stated growth-mindset emphasis without requiring every character to play the same role.
