The Derricos’ 14 children are Darian, Derrick, Denver, Dallas, Daician, Deniko, Dariz, Deonee, Daiten, Dior, Diez, Dyver, De’Aren and Dawsyn. Their birth groups are two older individual births, two sets of twins, quintuplets and triplets. Deon and Karen are the parents; TLC’s “family of 16” count includes the two parents and their 14 children.
Who are the 14 Derrico children?
TLC identifies the children by name and birth group in its family feature and interview with Deon. In birth-group order, they are:
- Older individual births: Darian and Derrick.
- Twins: Denver and Dallas.
- Quintuplets: Daician, Deniko, Dariz, Deonee and Daiten.
- Twins: Dior and Diez.
- Triplets: Dyver, De’Aren and Dawsyn.
The spelling above follows TLC’s coverage, including the apostrophe in De’Aren.
How many sets of multiples do the Derricos have?
The family has four multiple-birth groups: two sets of twins, one set of quintuplets and one set of triplets. TLC described the children as four sets of naturally conceived multiples in its 2024 series announcement.

Why is the family called a family of 16?
The count includes Deon and Karen plus their 14 children. TLC’s 2024 press release described the series as following the couple’s life with their fourteen children and said season five was scheduled to premiere on May 14, 2024. That premiere date is historical, not a current schedule.
Are the children’s ages current?
No age list in the cited TLC interview should be treated as current. The interview gave ages as of its publication period, including Darian at 15, Derrick at 10, twins Denver and Dallas at 9, and the triplets at 1½. Those are dated snapshots, not 2026 ages; the stable information in TLC’s coverage is the children’s names and birth-group order.

What has TLC said about life in the household?
TLC’s profile and interview offer a snapshot of the family’s logistics at the time they were published, rather than a description of current arrangements.
- Deon told TLC the family used a 15-passenger van and a 7-passenger minivan, and that the monthly grocery bill exceeded the mortgage.
- TLC’s family feature said the children’s school-night bedtime was 8 p.m. and that Karen nursed her babies until at least eight months.
- The feature also recounted homeschooling and other family milestones.
In the interview, Deon described the timing of the births by saying, “it was all in divine order.” TLC attributed the remark to an Instagram Live interview with DJ Envy.
