Her response was a fan reply, not a formal announcement.

Us Weekly reproduced Steven’s reported Instagram Story: “People keep asking if Olga and I are [together] but the answer is, we went into this super blindly. There’s a lot the show left out that’ll have people confused but we have learned a lot about each other over this whole journey but we’re better at being coparents to our boy. We’re both civil and cause no drama because our son’s mental health is [our] top priority.”
He added: “(P.S. Don’t assume you know the full story from this one little post).” The statement confirmed the separation and described an intention to co-parent civilly. It did not specify why they split.

Why did Steven leave Olga?
The announcement did not give a definitive reason. Steven’s reference to parts of their relationship being left out of the show is not an explanation of what caused the split, and the available reporting does not establish one. Olga’s reported translated reply likewise did not offer a reason; she said she did not want to comment further at the time.

The show followed their long-distance relationship and visa process. Reality TV World reported that Olga returned to Russia while pregnant and that Steven later traveled there for their son’s birth.
