Yes—Bobby Nash is alive at the end of the 9-1-1 Season 7 finale, “All Fall Down.” The finale’s unresolved cliffhanger is professional: Gerrard’s return threatens Bobby’s place as captain of the 118. Peter Krause discussed the possibility of Bobby reclaiming that role after the finale aired, but his comments were made before Season 8 and are not a statement of what later happened.
What happens to Bobby at the end of Season 7?
“All Fall Down” leaves Bobby’s immediate fate uncertain after the fire at the Nash home, then establishes that he survived. The finale does not end with Bobby’s death. Its forward-looking uncertainty is what happens to his job: Gerrard’s return changes the power dynamic at the 118 and puts Bobby’s captaincy in question.

That distinction matters: the survival cliffhanger is resolved by the Season 7 finale, while the leadership conflict is left as a question for what follows. The available finale coverage supports this broad account, not a verified transcript or a complete scene-by-scene breakdown.
What did Peter Krause say about Bobby’s captaincy?
In interviews published in May 2024, after the finale and before Season 8 aired, Krause discussed Bobby’s possible effort to regain the captaincy with confidence. He also reflected positively on the season’s arc and Bobby’s relationship with Athena. Those are Krause’s views and pre-Season 8 expectations—not a guarantee of the plot’s eventual outcome or an unqualified statement of creator intent.

The answer above is specific to the end of Season 7. It should not be read as a claim that Bobby remains alive throughout the series: ABC’s current episode guide includes later-season summaries describing Athena confronting life without him. The Season 7 finale answer is yes; later canon changes the longer-term picture.
