The public record does not reveal a current salary, audited net worth or complete spending ledger, so reported contract totals and property values should be treated carefully.
How to read the numbers
There is no publicly established current salary under Stern’s latest SiriusXM deal, no comprehensive audited personal net-worth statement, and no complete accounting of his income or spending. The figures below distinguish documented career activity from estimates and reported business-package costs.

1. Terrestrial radio and syndication built his audience
Stern’s long run at New York’s WXRK, known as K-Rock, and the show’s wider syndication established the audience and reach that underpinned later media deals. The Associated Press reported that at the show’s peak it was syndicated in 60 markets and had more than 20 million listeners. Those are historical peak figures, not a measure of current listenership.
2. SiriusXM hosting is a central source of radio income
SiriusXM announced on February 5, 2026 that Stern had signed a new three-year contract. Stern had described the renewal on December 16, 2025 as a way to have “more free time” while continuing on radio. He also said, “I do still love radio.” Neither the company nor Stern disclosed the new deal’s financial terms in the cited announcements.
#1 Best Overall
The renewal followed a long SiriusXM relationship, but its undisclosed terms mean there is no reliable public figure for Stern’s current SiriusXM pay. The length of a contract is not evidence of its value.
3. The show’s operating costs are not the same as Stern’s salary
Large contract headlines can blur the distinction between a show’s total business budget and a host’s personal compensation. Celebrity Net Worth describes the original Sirius agreement as an approximately $500 million, five-year commitment covering the Stern operation, including show costs, salaries, production, studio, development and related expenses. It is a secondary-source description, not an official disclosure of Stern’s take-home pay. The cited sources do not establish his personal share.
Rank #2
4. Television extended his career beyond radio
Stern’s television work included a TV version of his radio show and, later, a judging role on America’s Got Talent. These credits document another professional avenue, but the available earnings history does not establish a verified lifetime total for television income.
5. Books created another publishing channel
Simon & Schuster lists Private Parts as a trade paperback autobiography and Howard Stern Comes Again as a 2019 book built around interviews and autobiographical material. The books’ publication is verifiable; the cited sources do not establish Stern’s lifetime advances, royalties or profits.
Rank #3
6. Film brought Private Parts to another audience
The Associated Press’s career summary notes that Private Parts was adapted into a 1997 film. That makes film part of Stern’s broader media career, but the available sources do not verify how much personal income he received from the adaptation.
7. Real estate is a major asset category, not a cash paycheck
Realtor.com’s December 16, 2025 account describes a multi-market property portfolio and estimates its aggregate value at $137 million, including a $51 million estimate for the Southampton/Hamptons home. These are editorial valuations, not formal appraisals or realized sale proceeds. Celebrity Net Worth reports historical purchase amounts for properties in Manhattan, Southampton and Palm Beach, while noting that there is no precise public appraisal for the Palm Beach estate. Purchase prices, estimated current values and profit after costs are different measures; the cited sources do not establish a complete realized gain.

In a 2019 CBS interview, Stern described his and Beth’s involvement with North Shore Animal League: “We raised the money to build a new wing, which is a cage-free environment for cats, and free up room for dogs.” The interview also described fostering cats for adoption. These accounts establish fundraising and rescue activity, but not the amount they donated, how much was raised, or their total animal-rescue spending.
What the public record can—and cannot—show
The documented picture is of a long radio career and a continuing SiriusXM relationship, supplemented by television, publishing and film work, alongside high-value real estate and animal-rescue activity. It does not provide a current salary figure, a verified income breakdown by channel, or a complete account of personal and charitable spending. Published net-worth and property valuations are estimates, not audited disclosures.
