The right place to buy depends on which seller the artist, organizer, or venue has linked for that specific event. Check the event’s primary ticket source first, then compare resale listings and the final checkout price. A resale listing does not mean primary tickets are sold out; Live Nation’s U.S. policy notes that tickets may still be available from the organizer, venue box office, or another primary ticketing provider (Live Nation ticketing policy).
Eight places to check beyond Ticketmaster
These options are not eight interchangeable vendors: some are ticketing companies, while others are event-specific ways to buy from the venue, organizer, or an authorized resale channel. A company’s place in the ticket market does not establish that it sells tickets to a particular concert. Live Nation’s 2026 annual report identifies several of the companies below as competitors in primary or secondary ticketing; event availability still has to be confirmed on the event’s official page (Live Nation Entertainment 2026 annual report).
1. AXS
AXS sells primary tickets for some events and also provides a resale route. Check the specific event listing to determine which applies. AXS says its U.S. checkout displays the base ticket price and mandatory fees from the start of a purchase, while fee categories and amounts vary by event and venue. Some venues may offer reduced-fee options at their physical box office (AXS Help Center: What fees are there when buying tickets?).
2. SeatGeek
SeatGeek is identified as a competitor in both primary and secondary ticketing in Live Nation’s annual report. Whether it sells primary tickets for a concert depends on that event, so follow the organizer’s ticket link or check the event listing rather than assuming SeatGeek is the authorized seller.

- 1. Double-sided display: This ticket stub holder is made of transparent acrylic material and has a size of 4x9 inches. The larger size can accommodate more types of tickets and clearly display the tickets inside. Whether it is a play ticket, a concert ticket or a ball game ticket, the details of the ticket can be seen at a glance. The transparent design is not only beautiful and generous, but also adds a unique sense of art, making your precious ticket a beautiful landscape in your home or office space.
- 2. Stable base: The ticket stub display has a 4.5×2×0.5-inch transparent acrylic base with two card slots for straight and oblique insertion. The base design is stable to ensure that the ticket holder will not easily tip over during the display process. Whether it is placed on a desktop, windowsill or display stand, it can steadily carry the ticket stubs, allowing the ticket stubs to be displayed steadily in the position you want, avoiding damage to the ticket stubs due to accidental collisions.
- 3. Protect the ticket stubs: The four corners of the ticket stub frame are magnetically attached. When using it, there is no need to borrow external tools. The ticket stubs can be directly inserted and opened and closed by magnetic attraction. This design is not only easy to operate, but also ensures that the ticket holder fits tightly when closed and will not be accidentally opened due to external force. At the same time, the strong magnetic attraction will not cause any damage to the ticket stubs, and can effectively protect the integrity of the ticket stubs, so that your precious ticket stubs are always in good preservation.
- 4. Smooth edges: The ticket stub organizer adopts a rounded edge design with smooth edges, Not easy to deform and break, which avoids the possible damage to the hands caused by sharp corners when using or touching the ticket stub holder display stand. The rounded corner design improves the comfort during use, allowing you to easily and efficiently protect and organize your ticket collection.
3. StubHub
StubHub is identified in the annual report as a secondary ticketing competitor. Treat a listing as resale inventory unless the event’s own listing clearly establishes otherwise. Before buying, check the seller, delivery method, restrictions, and total checkout amount.
4. Vivid Seats
Vivid Seats is another secondary ticketing marketplace. Its published Buyer Guarantee says it covers delivery before the event, ticket validity and authenticity, order accuracy, and remedies for canceled events, subject to its terms and exceptions. The company states, “We guarantee your tickets are valid and authentic or your money back.” Read the current guarantee for the specific order (Vivid Seats Buyer Guarantee).

6. The venue box office
Check the venue’s official site for box-office hours, ticket availability, and any purchase conditions. Live Nation’s U.S. policy recognizes the venue box office as a possible primary source even when resale tickets are listed online. AXS also says some venues may offer reduced-fee options at the physical box office; that is not a guarantee for every venue or event.

7. The organizer’s or artist’s linked primary seller
Start with the event page on the artist’s, organizer’s, or venue’s official site and follow its ticket link. This is the most direct way to identify the primary seller selected for that show. Live Nation’s policy recognizes event organizers and other primary ticket providers as possible sources, rather than naming one platform as authorized for every concert (Live Nation ticketing policy).
8. The event’s authorized resale channel
Some organizers or original ticket issuers provide an official resale route for a particular event. Look for resale information on the event or ticket issuer’s official page. Organizers can impose restrictions on resale and transfer, so a ticket that appears available elsewhere may not be transferable or valid for admission under the event’s rules (Live Nation ticketing policy).

How to choose where to buy
- Find the event’s official ticket link. Open the artist’s, organizer’s, or venue’s event page and follow the link it provides. Note whether it leads to a primary seller, a resale listing, or an official resale route.
- Compare primary and resale listings separately. Primary tickets are sold for the first time on behalf of the event organizer; resale tickets are offered by a reseller. A resale listing alone does not prove primary inventory is gone. Check the organizer, venue box office, and linked primary provider before concluding that an event is sold out.
- Compare the final checkout total. Include applicable service, processing, facility, delivery, resale, and tax charges—not just the advertised ticket price. AXS says fees vary by event and venue and lists these categories in its U.S. fee guidance (AXS fee guidance).
- Confirm the seller and delivery method. Check who is actually selling the ticket and how it will reach you. AXS states that resale buyers contract with the resale seller and that AXS does not warrant the accuracy of information provided by that seller (AXS Official Resale information).
- Read the event’s transfer and resale rules. Look for restrictions on transfer, resale, price caps, and admission. The rules can be set by the event organizer and may affect whether a ticket bought elsewhere can be used.
- Check the remedy before paying. Read the seller’s current policy for late, invalid, or misdescribed tickets and for canceled or rescheduled events. A guarantee published by one marketplace applies to that company’s orders under its own terms; it should not be assumed to cover purchases from another seller.
What “best” means for a concert ticket purchase
For a specific show, the practical choice is the seller that is linked by the event’s official source, has a ticket that meets the event’s rules, and presents a final price and delivery arrangement you accept. If the primary seller has no suitable ticket, compare the event’s authorized resale route with other resale listings, checking the seller’s terms and transfer details before placing an order. Availability, fees, authorization, transferability, and guarantees can vary by event and may change; the cited Live Nation policy is U.S.-specific, and AXS says its fee information is U.S.-specific and varies by event and venue.
