The 7 best anime series coming to Crunchyroll and Netflix this December are not all confirmed December premieres: Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation Season 2 is the only researched title explicitly announced for December 2026. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, JoJo, Baki, Blue Box, and One Piece are 2026, fall, October, or ongoing options, while THE ONE PIECE is set for February 2027.
Research checked on August 12, 2026 found no official seven-title December release slate. This guide separates the one confirmed December return from shows that may be available to watch during December and from a major Netflix adaptation that belongs on a 2027 calendar instead.

Key takeaways
- Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation Season 2 is the only researched title explicitly announced for December 2026, and Crunchyroll has not published an exact day, episode count, or complete U.S. availability detail.
- Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is a Netflix exclusive scheduled for fall 2026, but “fall” does not confirm a December premiere.
- STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure — 2nd STAGE and BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai — Part 2 are Netflix 2026 titles without confirmed December dates.
- Blue Box Season 2 is listed by Netflix for October 2026, making it a possible December catch-up watch rather than a confirmed December arrival.
- ONE PIECE is an ongoing Crunchyroll series whose Elbaph Arc began on April 5, 2026; THE ONE PIECE is a separate Netflix adaptation scheduled for February 2027.
Why is this not a list of seven confirmed December premieres?
The 7 best anime series coming to Crunchyroll and Netflix this December cannot honestly be presented as seven confirmed December launches based on the available announcements. Research checked on August 12, 2026 found one explicit December announcement, several 2026 or fall candidates, and one major Netflix title that is not scheduled until February 2027.
The list below is therefore a practical December viewing guide, not a claim that all seven titles premiere during December. The first entry is confirmed for December; the next five are relevant new, returning, or ongoing shows that may be available to watch during the month; the final entry is included only to explain why it should not be counted as a December release.

| STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure — 2nd STAGE | Netflix | 2026, with weekly new episodes listed | Could still be airing in December; no December date |
| BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai — Part 2 | Netflix | 2026 | 2026 watchlist title; December is unconfirmed |
| Blue Box Season 2 | Netflix | October 2026 | Potential December catch-up watch, not a December premiere |
| ONE PIECE — current Elbaph Arc episodes | Crunchyroll; Netflix availability varies | Ongoing after April 5, 2026 | Ongoing viewing option, not a December launch |
| THE ONE PIECE | Netflix | February 2027 | Exclude from a December 2026 release list |
Ordering reflects usefulness for a December watchlist, not a ranking of animation quality or release certainty. Streaming rights and schedules can differ by country, so viewers outside the United States should check their local platform listings.
Which anime is confirmed for December 2026?
Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation Season 2 is the only title in the researched material with an explicit December 2026 return announcement. Crunchyroll identifies the series as returning in December 2026, but the currently available official information does not name a premiere day, episode count, or complete U.S. release plan; see Crunchyroll’s official anime news listing.
What is known about Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation Season 2?
The series is based on Disney’s Twisted-Wonderland multimedia property. The available announcement confirms the month and platform, but it does not provide enough reliable season information to summarize the plot without speculation. Treat December 2026 as a confirmed month, not as a confirmed day or a promise of simultaneous availability in every territory.
Could Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 be available in December?
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 could be a major December watch if its fall 2026 launch occurs early enough, but no researched announcement confirms a December premiere or explains whether Netflix will release the installment weekly or all at once. CD PROJEKT RED describes the series as a Netflix-exclusive new installment in the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners universe and gives it a fall 2026 window in its official release announcement.

The correct expectation is “watch for it during the fall 2026 rollout,” not “it is coming in December.” Netflix’s title page and the final release calendar should be checked before publication or viewing because a fall window alone cannot establish December availability.
What is STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure — 2nd STAGE?
STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure — 2nd STAGE is Netflix’s 2026 continuation of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime, with weekly new episodes listed in Netflix’s official anime slate. Netflix describes the story as following Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli during a horseback race across late-nineteenth-century North America; the Netflix Tudum 2026 anime guide does not give a December-specific date.
This makes the second stage a reasonable December watchlist entry if the weekly schedule is still active during the month. The evidence does not justify calling it a confirmed December launch, and the exact U.S. episode calendar should be verified separately.
What should viewers expect from BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai — Part 2?
BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai — Part 2 continues Baki’s story after the father-son battle and centers on the resurrection of swordsman Musashi Miyamoto, according to Netflix’s 2026 animation announcement. Netflix gives the title a 2026 window but does not provide a December day or a complete U.S. episode schedule in the researched material; the timing appears in Netflix’s official animation-slate announcement.

- Food Wars! The Fifth Plate - Limited Edition Premium Box Set [Blu-Ray]
Part 2 belongs on a broad 2026 anime watchlist and may be useful for December viewing if Netflix releases it earlier in the year. It should not be labeled a confirmed December arrival until Netflix publishes a month-specific date.
Is Blue Box Season 2 worth catching up with before December?
Blue Box Season 2 is listed by Netflix for October 2026, so Blue Box is better described as a fall series to catch up with before or during December than as an anime coming that month. Netflix describes the continuing romance and sports ambitions of Taiki and Chinatsu in its official 2026 anime slate.
The researched sources do not establish whether the U.S. release will be weekly or whether the full season will be available by December. October timing makes December viewing plausible, but the exact episode cadence and local catalog status still require a check on Netflix immediately before watching.
Readers who want source material can also start with the Blue Box manga volume 1. VIZ lists the English-language paperback, and the manga is optional: no book is required to watch Season 2.

Can you watch ONE PIECE on Crunchyroll in December?
ONE PIECE is a plausible December viewing recommendation because the anime is ongoing, but it is not a December premiere. Crunchyroll announced that the Elbaph Arc began on April 5, 2026, and the series continues under a revised release schedule in the official Elbaph Arc announcement.
Crunchyroll is the primary platform identified for the current Elbaph Arc episodes. Netflix availability varies by title, territory, and release schedule, so Netflix should not be treated as a universal second home for the current episodes. The available research does not establish a specific December 2026 episode date.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why is THE ONE PIECE not a December 2026 pick?
THE ONE PIECE is not a December 2026 release because Netflix has announced a February 2027 global launch. The WIT Studio adaptation begins with the East Blue Saga, making it a separate project from the ongoing television anime and from the current Elbaph Arc; Netflix states the February timing in its official animation-slate announcement.
THE ONE PIECE is worth tracking for a future watchlist, but including it among anime “coming this December” would give readers the wrong date. The title may be one reason an inaccurate seven-show December list appears plausible, but the February 2027 announcement rules it out.

How can you verify the exact U.S. release dates?
Use the platform’s own title page and release calendar immediately before publication or viewing because the researched sources do not establish a complete United States December 2026 catalog. Crunchyroll’s support documentation says its release calendar provides upcoming episode, season, and movie dates.
- For Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation Season 2: confirm the exact December day, episode information, and U.S. availability on Crunchyroll.
- For Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2: check Netflix for the specific fall premiere date and the release model.
- For JoJo, Baki, and Blue Box: confirm whether the relevant season or episode is available in the United States and whether episodes are weekly or released together.
- For ONE PIECE: check the local Crunchyroll episode calendar rather than assuming that a general series announcement supplies a December date.
- For THE ONE PIECE: plan around February 2027, not December 2026.
What should you watch in December?
Choose Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation Season 2 if you specifically want a confirmed December return. Choose Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 if you want to monitor a major fall Netflix launch, Blue Box Season 2 if you prefer a fall romance-and-sports catch-up, or JoJo and ONE PIECE if you want ongoing or potentially weekly viewing. Choose BAKI-DOU Part 2 as a 2026 action-anime option, but do not mistake its 2026 listing for a December date.
The Bottom Line
As of August 12, 2026, Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation Season 2 is the only researched anime here confirmed for December 2026. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, STEEL BALL RUN, BAKI-DOU Part 2, Blue Box Season 2, and ongoing ONE PIECE episodes are sensible December viewing candidates, but their December status is not confirmed. THE ONE PIECE belongs to February 2027.
