There is no authoritative ranking of Birmingham City’s most famous supporters. The six names below are an editorial selection from a secondary list of celebrity followers, not an official or independently verified top six. Two other public figures—Karen Carney and Tore André Flo—have stronger, more direct evidence of a personal connection to the club, so they are included here as well.
Who are Birmingham City’s most famous supporters?
A secondary fan list names eight well-known people as Birmingham City followers, but does not explain how it confirmed their support or rank them. To answer the title’s question without implying a definitive order, this selection takes six of those names and makes the evidence distinction clear: they are public figures identified by that list, while the strength of the individual claims is not substantiated there.
-
Jasper Carrott
The comedian appears on the secondary list of famous Birmingham City followers. That source provides no supporting detail about his fandom.
-
Colin Buchanan
The actor, known for Dalziel and Pascoe, is also named on the list, without an explanation of the evidence behind the claim.

These names are candidates, not a measured fame ranking. The list also names former boxer and trainer Robert McCracken and Ocean Colour Scene singer Simon Fowler; its lack of visible methodology means the material available does not establish which people are the most famous or most committed supporters. Being a celebrity, having played for Birmingham City, owning a stake in the club, and supporting the team are different relationships. The Associated Press reported that Tom Brady is a minority owner and attended a match and a pub. Those activities establish a public connection to the club, but do not by themselves show that he is a lifelong or personal supporter. Associated Press report on Brady and Birmingham City

Quick Recap
How to read claims about famous Blues supporters
- Look for the source of the claim: a first-person account or a reported statement offers clearer support than an unexplained fan list.
- Separate the connection types: a former player may also be a supporter, but the playing history should not be mistaken for proof of fandom.
- Treat fame as subjective: no source here supplies an agreed measure or ranking of celebrity, visibility, or devotion.
