2. Reynolds kept a “Loganpool” playlist
Reynolds reportedly collected songs he thought might suit the film. NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” was among the tracks on his phone playlist.
3. Jackman’s question led to a different Wolverine
After reading an early draft, Jackman reportedly asked why this Logan was special. Gizmodo says the question prompted a full rewrite that made him the “worst Wolverine,” giving Jackman a distinct version of the character to play.

4. Wade and Vanessa were not always broken up
Earlier story versions reportedly kept Wade and Vanessa together. The final breakup changed their relationship’s dynamic and signaled Wade’s depression.
5. Happy Hogan’s scene went through about 65 versions
Gizmodo reports that Reynolds and Levy wrote about 65 versions of the scene, at different points considering Tony Stark or Nick Fury instead. After filming with Jon Favreau, they reportedly settled on Wade meeting a less prominent figure connected to the MCU’s beginnings. The count is an anecdote from the commentary, not an independently verified production record.
6. Chris Evans returned as Johnny Storm, not Captain America
The idea to bring Evans back as Johnny Storm reportedly came from co-writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese before Jackman joined the project. Evans could film for two days, according to Gizmodo’s account. He reportedly expected the “Not my favorite Chris” line to be delivered as a sad plea; Reynolds’s dismissive delivery on set made the joke clear to him.
7. Blake Lively inspired a suspenseful ending
Gizmodo reports that the original ending brought the heroes back immediately. Lively suggested leaving viewers waiting to learn whether they had survived.

8. The film reportedly had a day and a half of reshoots
The roundup says that total included Paradox’s closing speech. These production figures are reported commentary anecdotes, not independently verified records.
Jokes, callbacks, and Easter eggs
9. Reynolds acknowledged a skeleton continuity joke
Gizmodo says Reynolds pointed out the adamantium-skeleton visual logic had overlooked teeth, which are bones. It is a playful continuity admission, not a medical claim.

10. Reynolds wrote the first Gossip Girl joke
The first Blake Lively and Gossip Girl joke was reportedly Reynolds’s work. He also searched for the number of bones in the human body while writing it.
11. A Les Misérables number is hidden in the credits
The opening credits reportedly place “24601” on the skull shown during the Visual Effects Producer Lisa Marra credit, nodding to Jackman’s role in Les Misérables.

12. The Thor image left the filmmakers guessing
Reynolds and Levy reportedly said they did not know why the image of Thor showed him crying when they recorded the commentary. They joked that a later explanation could make it seem intentional.

15. The hideout is packed with Marvel references
Gizmodo reports that the hideout includes Hulk’s bed from Thor: Ragnarok and design elements from Doctor Strange 2. Doctor Strange’s cloak reportedly appears on Cassandra Nova’s throne.

The filmmakers reportedly cut a joke describing Logan’s rear end that way during his arrival at the TVA.

22. The TVA monitors worked
Gizmodo reports that the TVA sets were real and the monitors were functional, with graphics playing on them.
23. Wade’s scarred look used a practical mask
The filmmakers reportedly rejected a proposed CGI approach to Reynolds’s scarred-face look in favor of a practical mask.
24. Dogpool was filmed almost entirely in camera
Dogpool reportedly needed one CGI addition: an “ear huggie” matching Nicepool’s accessory. The crew avoided putting an earring on a dog. Salmon paste was reportedly used to encourage Dogpool to lick Reynolds.
25. Cavillrine was filmed on the first production day
Henry Cavill’s cameo as the Cavillrine reportedly was shot on the first day of production.
26. Ollie Palmer appears in the bar scene

27. The first Wolverine costume image was timed to beat paparazzi photos
The team reportedly released the first official costume image just before filming the Void fight, aiming to keep paparazzi photos from becoming the public’s first look at the suit.

28. Nicepool’s costume was considered for Deadpool
When the filmmakers were short on ideas, they reportedly considered adapting Nicepool’s costume for Deadpool, then decided against it.
29. Outdoor shoots included a plan for spotting drones
