Nocturne: a detective story rooted in Lars Kepler novels
Apple describes Nocturne as a ten-episode crime drama based on the internationally bestselling Lars Kepler novels Lazarus and The Sandman. Its central character, Jonah Lynn, is an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who leaves Philadelphia for a quieter life in a small town in western Pennsylvania. Liev Schreiber stars and executive produces; Zazie Beetz and Stephen Graham also star.
The announced global premiere is Friday, October 30, 2026, with the first two episodes. New episodes are scheduled weekly through December 25. Its place on this watchlist comes from its clear detective-centered premise, named cast, and published release schedule—not from reviews or audience response, which are not yet established.

12 12 12 is scheduled to premiere globally on Friday, November 13, 2026, with two episodes, followed by one new episode each Friday through December 25. The three-part timeline gives it a distinct formal hook alongside Nocturne’s detective-led story.
