Liquor.com’s roundup features 16 bartender-created Star Wars-themed cocktail recipes, from rye and gin drinks to tropical cocktails, warm cider and coffee-based combinations. They are editorial fan-themed recipes, not official in-universe drinks. Choose by flavor, ingredients and serving style; a cocktail shaker is useful for several recipes, but themed glassware is optional.
Choose a cocktail by flavor and style
The roundup’s descriptions point to a wide range of spirits and preparations rather than a single signature Star Wars taste. These groupings reflect the recipes’ ingredients and descriptions, not tested rankings or tasting notes.
- Whiskey-forward: Rancor’s Toothpick and Kylo Rye. The latter pairs spicy rye with lime.
- Tropical and tiki-inspired: The Frost Awakens, Sarlacc Pit and Blue Milk of Tattooine. The Frost Awakens can be shaken or made in a slushy machine; Blue Milk is a creamy gin drink with blue curaçao, citrus, orgeat, vanilla syrup and cream of coconut.
- Herbal, green or citrus-led: Drink Me, You Will; Bothan; and A Drink, Yoda Is. A Drink, Yoda Is combines jalapeño, honey syrup, lime, matcha, mezcal, coco liqueur and orange flower water.
- Warm and spiced: Darth Mauled Pomegranate Cider is a warm cider option.
- Coffee-based: Qui-Gon Gin-Singer combines gin with sweetened cold-brew coffee.
- Visually themed: Death Star can be served with a spherical ice garnish, while Valley of the Dark Lords uses turmeric for a sand-like color and chia seeds for a creature effect.

Three recipes with distinctive preparation or presentation
Valley of the Dark Lords
Sol Trece, general manager of Los Angeles bar La Cuevita and creator of the drink, said, “We wanted a cocktail that, if you were looking through a telescope from another planet, you would see sand and living creatures,”. Turmeric gives the drink its sand-colored look, while chia seeds suggest creatures. The recipe calls for shaking with ice and straining into a chilled coupe. View the Valley of the Dark Lords recipe.

A Drink, Yoda Is
Morgan Zuch, bar manager at Datz in Tampa, is credited with this matcha-and-mezcal cocktail. Shake the ingredients with ice, then double-strain. The recipe suggests halved jalapeño slices as an ear-shaped garnish. View the A Drink, Yoda Is recipe.
Bothan
Billy Nichols, bar manager at Faun in Brooklyn, described the drink this way: “I’m a Star Wars nerd,” and “I thought this cloudy tequila cocktail looked the part.” Its tequila, absinthe, lemon, honey syrup and egg white are prepared with a dry shake followed by a shake with ice. Because the recipe includes egg white and its source provides no food-safety guidance, treat egg handling as a safety consideration rather than assuming uncooked egg is risk-free. What you need to make and serve them
A shaker is the practical choice for recipes that call for shaking with ice; the Valley of the Dark Lords and A Drink, Yoda Is recipes both specify it. A Drink, Yoda Is also calls for double-straining, while Bothan begins with a dry shake before the ice shake. Follow each recipe for its own method and ingredients rather than treating the drinks as interchangeable.
A themed tiki mug is a presentation option, not a requirement for making a cocktail.
