Willow Nightingale won the AEW Women’s World Championship at Redemption on July 26, 2026, becoming the promotion’s first women’s Triple Crown Champion. She was no longer champion after All In on August 30, when Mercedes Moné won the title. Here are 10 key points about Nightingale’s recent AEW career, with championship status stated as of the results reviewed through October 3, 2026.
1. She won AEW’s Women’s World Championship at Redemption
Nightingale defeated Thekla at AEW’s Redemption event on July 26, 2026, to win the Women’s World Championship. AEW’s official results index records the title win; Fightful’s report also identifies Thekla as her opponent.
2. She is a former champion, not the current champion
Although Nightingale won the championship in July, AEW’s results list Mercedes Moné as the Women’s World Champion after All In on August 30, 2026. The results reviewed through October 3 therefore support calling Nightingale a former AEW Women’s World Champion, not the current titleholder. AEW’s results index records the event sequence.
3. The world-title win made her AEW’s first women’s Triple Crown Champion
Fightful reported that the Redemption victory made Nightingale AEW’s first women’s Triple Crown Champion. At the post-show media scrum, she described how quickly her achievements had accumulated: “I won the TBS Title two years ago for the first time, but, I held the Tag and TBS earlier this year. Now this, the World Title, it’s really a whirlwind.” The remarks were transcribed by Andrew Thompson for Fightful.

4. She held the TBS Championship before winning the world title
Nightingale’s TBS Championship history is part of the sequence behind the Triple Crown milestone. She told reporters after Redemption that she first won the TBS title two years earlier and held it again earlier in 2026. Her TBS title was relinquished after an injury, rather than lost in a match; Fightful’s injury report covers that change.
5. Her tag-title run began with an inaugural championship
Nightingale and Harley Cameron became the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions in late 2025. Their reign lasted 95 days, according to Fightful. Being inaugural champions means they were the first team to hold that championship, not simply a later team in its lineage.

6. Nightingale said the tag-title win meant the most to her
In an interview with Denise Salcedo recorded before Revolution 2026, Nightingale reflected on what the tag championship represented to her. Fightful’s Skylar Russell transcribed her saying it was “probably the proudest one that I’ve won,” adding that the tag-title win “would mean the most to me.” That is Nightingale’s personal assessment, not an objective ranking of her championships. Read the Fightful interview report.
7. Megan Bayne and Lena Kross ended the tag-title reign
Nightingale and Cameron lost the Women’s World Tag Team Championship to Megan Bayne and Lena Kross at Revolution 2026. The result ended the duo’s 95-day inaugural reign, as reported by Fightful.

8. An AC sprain changed her 2026 schedule
Fightful reported that an AC sprain forced Nightingale out of the 2026 women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament. The injury report also says she relinquished the TBS Championship and later returned to competition. The report does not establish further medical detail, so the injury’s severity should not be inferred from the tournament withdrawal alone. Fightful’s account transcribes her post-event media-scrum remarks.
9. She returned in July and earned a world-title opportunity
According to Fightful’s account, Nightingale returned in July after the injury interruption and earned the opportunity to face Thekla for the Women’s World Championship. She won that match at Redemption on July 26. The injury and return report connects the return to the title opportunity, while AEW’s results index records the match outcome.
