Reporting ties Tracy Morgan to several eye-catching luxury purchases, led by a Bugatti he described as a $2 million car and homes reported to have cost $2.2 million and $13.9 million. But available accounts do not verify ten separate purchases with dependable prices. Which expensive purchases have reported prices?
1. The Alpine home: reported at $13.9 million
Realtor.com reported in 2018 that Morgan paid $13.9 million for an Alpine, New Jersey, property in 2015. The outlet described a 21,000-square-foot residence with a bowling alley, screening room, pool, and six-car garage. 2. The earlier New Jersey home: reported at $2.2 million
The same Realtor.com account said Morgan paid $2.2 million for a New Jersey home in 2011 and later listed it for sale. It is a separate reported transaction from the Alpine purchase, not an estimate of the later property’s value.
3. The Bugatti: Morgan called it a $2 million car
After a June 4, 2019 collision involving his newly purchased Bugatti, Morgan told reporters, “Two million dollar car, just bought it.” CBS New York identified the vehicle as a Bugatti but did not name its model. The aquarium has several reported figures, which should not be combined into one definitive price. In a 2018 interview report, The Howard Stern Show said Morgan described a 30,000-gallon aquarium in a 31,000-square-foot New Jersey house as a “million dollar tank.” Realtor.com separately reported that an earlier “Jaws”-themed installation cost an estimated $400,000 and held seven sharks, two stingrays, and an eel. Entertainment Tonight described a 35,000-gallon tank in 2020, while a 2023 Dan Patrick Show page said Morgan discussed spending over $1 million on an in-home shark tank. Luxury cars mentioned in coverage
Reports have associated Morgan with a Lamborghini, a Range Rover described in one 2018 account as worth $300,000 and fitted with a refrigerator, and a Rolls-Royce Phantom. Why this is not a verified list of ten purchases
The reported figures cover different kinds of claims: home purchase prices, Morgan’s own description of a car and chain, estimates for an aquarium installation, and descriptions of possessions or home amenities. A bowling alley, pool, screening room, or garage is a feature of a residence, not a separately priced purchase in the reporting cited here. The accounts also do not establish Morgan’s complete spending history, current ownership, or appraisals.
