There is no universally accepted ranking of little-person wrestlers, and the available record is especially rich in WWE-linked history rather than every promotion worldwide. This editorial top 10 weighs historical influence, prominence in their era, documented longevity or distinction, and broad audience recognition. The names span performers from the 1950s territorial circuit to later WWE generations; the order is a reasoned selection, not a consensus ranking.

How the ranking is framed

Little-person wrestling history was never confined to one company. The older circuit connected performers with the WWWF, AWA, and Japanese bookings, while later generations became familiar to WWE audiences. Recognition, drawing power, in-ring reputation, longevity, and influence are related but distinct measures, so no single statistic can settle who was “greatest.”

WWE’s historical account is the main chronological source for this list, supplemented by a WWE minis retrospective, a current WWE profile of Hornswoggle, and reporting on Sky Low Low, Lord Littlebrook, and Little Beaver. The ranking reflects that evidence base and should not be read as a complete international canon.

The 10 greatest little-person wrestlers

1. Sky Low Low

Sky Low Low was a major Quebec performer in the 1950s. WWE’s history gives his billed weight as 86 pounds; that is a historical billing, not an independently verified measurement. Dave Meltzer’s obituary coverage described him as the division’s biggest star, an assessment of his stature rather than a statistical ranking. His prominence makes him a natural starting point for a history of the form. WWE’s historical account and Meltzer’s obituary coverage provide the key context.

2. Little Beaver (Lionel Giroux)

Little Beaver, born Lionel Giroux, was a long-running performer whose drawing power alongside Sky Low Low is emphasized in Greg Oliver’s Slam Wrestling profile. His best-known mainstream moment came at WrestleMania III, where he appeared in a mixed tag match alongside Lord Littlebrook and Little Tokyo. That visibility gave his career a lasting place in wrestling’s popular memory. Slam Wrestling’s profile offers biographical context.

3. Lord Littlebrook (Eric Tovey)

Lord Littlebrook, whose real name was Eric Tovey, stands out both for his work in the ring and his influence behind the scenes. WWE credits his aerial work as influential, while Dave Meltzer’s obituary describes him as a leading worker, booker, and trainer in the division. That combination of performance and mentorship makes his contribution broader than a marquee appearance alone. WWE’s retrospective and Meltzer’s account document those roles.

4. Little Tokyo

Little Tokyo is part of both the international booking history and WWE’s most recognizable historic showcase for the division. He appeared in the WrestleMania III mixed tag match and also worked for AWA, including a match with Little Mr. T at SuperClash and a later WrestleRock appearance recorded in WWE’s minis retrospective. These appearances show how the circuit crossed promotions rather than belonging to a single company. WWE’s historical article and its minis retrospective describe the appearances.

5. Claude Giroux (Tiger Jackson and Dink)

Claude Giroux worked under several personas, including Tiger Jackson and Dink; these are different characters played by the same performer, not separate entries. WWE identifies Giroux as especially successful in the late 1980s and early 1990s and describes him as central to its minis presentation. The range of his character work helps connect older traditions with later television audiences. WWE’s history and the minis retrospective detail his personas.

6. Hornswoggle

Hornswoggle represents a later WWE generation. His WWE profile records a 2006 debut, a Cruiserweight Championship reign, and his distinction as the final champion before the title was retired in September 2007. WWE’s history calls him arguably the most successful and recognizable performer of his generation. Those milestones make him one of the clearest modern-era entries on the list. WWE’s Hornswoggle profile and its historical account support those career details.

7. Haiti Kid

Haiti Kid is among the best-documented mainstream-era performers in WWE’s historical account. He appeared as Mr. T’s corner man at WrestleMania II and took part in the WrestleMania III mixed tag match with Little Beaver, Lord Littlebrook, and Little Tokyo. The latter event drew more than 93,000 WWE fans, according to WWE’s published retrospective figure; that number is WWE’s account, not an independently verified attendance total. WWE’s retrospective records his appearances and the event figure.

8. Fuzzy Cupid

Fuzzy Cupid belongs to the earlier generation of performers who entered the scene in the 1960s. WWE includes him among the division’s historical names and groups him with early legends in its minis retrospective. His place here recognizes that foundational era, even though the available accounts provide less individual career detail than they do for the top-ranked performers. WWE’s history and the minis retrospective name him.

9. Max Mini

Max Mini was the most recognizable member, in WWE’s telling, of the Mexican minis group that arrived around the turn of the millennium. His inclusion reflects the expansion of WWE’s minis presentation into a newer era and a different national wrestling tradition. WWE’s historical account identifies his prominence within the group.

10. El Torito

El Torito is named by WWE as one of the Mexican minis who joined that period’s group. The available record supports his inclusion as a recognized representative, but offers less career-specific detail than it does for the other entries. La Parkita is another name in WWE’s account, and either could be a defensible choice near the bottom of a list whose scope and evidence are not comprehensive. WWE’s historical account names both performers.

What this history shows

  • The documented chronology runs from Quebec and British performers in the 1950s through later WWE minis and Hornswoggle.
  • The territorial-era story crossed the WWWF, AWA, and Japanese bookings; it is not a single-promotion lineage.
  • WrestleMania III brought Little Beaver, Haiti Kid, Lord Littlebrook, and Little Tokyo into a highly visible mixed tag match.
  • Claude Giroux’s Tiger Jackson and Dink personas belong to one career, illustrating how character changes can complicate historical lists.
  • “Greatest” can mean influence, in-ring distinction, drawing power, longevity, or mainstream recognition; those qualities should not be treated as interchangeable.
