The best anime to watch after Solo Leveling depends on what you want repeated: monster-hunting action, a protagonist gaining power, a dark fantasy mood, or game-like mechanics. These ten picks cover those different appeals, but only some are close matches to Jinwoo’s System-driven progression.
Closest picks for supernatural fights and monster hunters
Jujutsu Kaisen
Choose Jujutsu Kaisen for supernatural combat and a world built around fighting dangerous beings. Like Solo Leveling, it follows a young protagonist striving to rise amid those threats. Its focus is curses and sorcerers, however, not dungeons and a leveling System. JustWatch’s recommendation guide highlights the connection between Yuji’s ambition and Jinwoo’s position among hunters.
Goblin Slayer
Goblin Slayer is the choice for a harsher dark-fantasy setting and a protagonist defined by hunting monsters. Its narrower focus on goblins and its grim framing distinguish it from Solo Leveling; it is not a close match for the game-like progression mechanic.
Bleach
Try Bleach if sword-wielding heroes and battles against otherworldly threats are the draw. It shares supernatural action, but its spirits and conflicts are not the same as Solo Leveling’s dungeon monsters. It is also a long-running series, making it a different kind of commitment from a compact watch-next pick.

For fast, high-impact action
Chainsaw Man
Chainsaw Man suits viewers who mainly want violent, high-energy fights. JustWatch describes it as bloody and raunchy, a tonal difference worth knowing before starting: its rough-edged humor and content are not simply a darker version of Solo Leveling.
For a powerful protagonist or a growth arc
The Daily Life of the Immortal King
This is the pick for a fantasy power trip built around an exceptionally powerful lead. Its school-life setting makes it a very different experience from Jinwoo’s rise through monster-hunting challenges, so choose it for the powerful-protagonist appeal rather than for dungeon action.

My Hero Academia
My Hero Academia fits if you want a young lead striving to become a hero. Its coming-of-age superhero-school premise offers aspiration and growth, but it does not share Solo Leveling’s hunter-and-dungeon setup.
For game-world mechanics or comic fantasy
Sword Art Online
Sword Art Online is the clearest game-world match in this selection. Its premise places players in a multiplayer role-playing world while trapped in their avatars, making it a more direct choice for virtual-world stakes than for Jinwoo’s particular leveling system.

Mashle: Magic and Muscles
Pick Mashle: Magic and Muscles for a fantasy-school setting and adolescent comedy. It offers a light, comic alternative to Solo Leveling’s action-fantasy mood rather than a close match in tone or mechanics.
For a different kind of fantasy adventure
Gintama
Gintama takes place in an alternate samurai-era Japan with retro-futuristic aliens. Its genre-mixing comic approach makes it a loose match for viewers who want an unusual action-adventure world, not a steady stream of grim monster fights or a leveling arc.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End begins in the aftermath of a demon war and takes a markedly calmer, more reflective approach to fantasy. Watch it for a thoughtful change of pace, not if the main priority is Solo Leveling’s rapid build-up to action.

- A comic or quieter change of pace: Try Mashle: Magic and Muscles for comedy, Gintama for genre-mixing adventure, or Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End for reflective fantasy.
“Like Solo Leveling” is a recommendation shorthand, not a promise that another series has the same leveling rules. The official Crunchyroll listing categorizes it as action and fantasy and describes Jinwoo gaining access to a System that levels him up. The ten recommendations above share selected elements—such as action, fantasy, power growth, or a game-world premise—not all of them.

If you would rather continue with the source material, the anime is based on the Korean manhwa Solo Leveling. The comic is an optional reading follow-up, not the only way to continue the story; editions and current availability vary. JustWatch’s guide identifies the manhwa as the source.
