How to Detoxify the Pineal Gland

The pineal gland is a part of the endocrine system, and located within the brain. Not yet fully understood by science, its primary function is most commonly associated with melatonin secretion. Many doctors have also theorized that under certain circumstances it can secrete N,N-Dimethyltryptamine, also known as DMT.

Many environmental factors can cause calcium deposits to form around the pineal gland which limits functionality. Decalcification can be achieved via modifications to diet and lifestyle

Beyond the realm of science, the pineal glad was highly revered by ancient mystics of Hindu, Egyptian, Mayan traditions. They believed it to be the seat of the soul and called it the third eye.

Detoxification

Calcification of the pineal gland gradually increases with age from exposure to certain chemicals, mainly from fluoride and synthetic calcium. Further calcification can be prevented by filtering fluorinated water and avoiding fluorinated toothpaste. Processed foods, pesticides, and supplements containing synthetic calcium should also be avoided, as well.

Many supplements are known to aid in the decalcification and detoxification of the pineal gland. These include:

  • Iodine – chelates heavy metals, aiding in excretion from the body
  • Turmeric – which can reverse damage from fluoride exposure
  • Activator X – which redirects calcium into bones
  • Fulvic acid – helps remove toxins and heavy metals from the body
  • Chaga mushroom – aids in hormone regulation
  • Raw cacao – increases blood vessel size, improving flow to the brain
  • Tamarind – increases excretion of fluoride in urine
  • Apple cider vinegar – contains malic acid, improves excretion of toxins and heavy metals

What is Melatonin?

Melatonin is a hormone responsible for regulating circadian rhythms. It’s commonly taken in pill form and used as a sleeping aid. Extensive studies indicate melatonin to be safe, having very few mild adverse short term side-effects. There are not yet enough studies to conclusively determine long term effects on health. Clinical trials suggest it may aid in treating conditions such as:

  • Age-related macular deneration (AMD)
  • Alzheimer’s
  • Autism
  • Delayed sleep phase disorder (dspd)
  • Cancer
  • Jetlag
  • Tinnitus

Melatonin is also found in foods, especially nuts, eggs, and fish. Many fruits such as grapes, strawberries, and tomatoes also contain high concentrations.

What is DMT?

DMT, also called the spirit molecule, is a hallucinogenic drug which naturally occurs in several plant species. Scientists have speculated that the pineal gland produces it during sleep or death, causing dreams and near-death paranormal experiences. Many psychoactive experiences have been described, from travelling through a tunnel of light to seeing bright colors and shapes. It was sacred to ancient mesoamericans who consumed it as a drink called ayahuasca during religious ceremonies. Ayahuasca is a mixture of DMT and MAOI, monoamine oxidase inhibitors which prevent specific enzymes from breaking down the DMT, thus altering the overall effect.  Synthetic DMT usually has the form of white powder which can be smoked, injected, or snorted.

The Third Eye

The third eye is a mystical eye which provides extrasensory perception, also known as ESP. ESP includes clairvoyance, psychokinesis, telepathy and precognition. Mainstream science has dismissed the existence of ESP, yet many powerful groups around the world consult with gurus, soothsayers and oracles. In Dharmic spiritual traditions it symbolizes a state of enlightenment which can be achieved through meditation.
