Chacey Poynter made headlines in late 2018 after he bravely stepped forward to testify against Jimmy Rodgers, the man responsible for the brutal murder of his close friend and ex-girlfriend, April Pease. After months of enduring threats and intimidation, Chacey took a stand and was the key witness that helped assure conviction.
Now, Chacey’s story is being brought to light in the new documentary “Witness to Murder: The Chacey Poynter Story.” Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Anand Gandhi and produced by Oscar-nominated producer Julie Pacino, Witness to Murder follows Chacey as he relives the events leading up to April’s death and recounts how he found the courage to go up against her killer in court.
