Each zodiac sign below gets one DC hero, chosen for a character trait that echoes the sign’s common temperament. There is no official DC zodiac chart, so treat these as playful character matches, not a verdict on anyone’s personality. If your sign’s hero doesn’t feel right, the alternate listed for each sign is a second option worth considering.
How these matches were made
Each pick starts with a trait the sign is commonly associated with, then looks for a hero whose characterization shows that trait clearly. We draw on each hero’s comics characterization rather than any single film, TV or animated version, so a pick doesn’t change because of a casting decision. Where a hero fits two signs, the pick goes to the sign with the clearer rationale, and the other sign gets that hero as an alternate, or a different alternate entirely.
Sign traits are shorthand for common tendencies. Nobody is required to match their hero, and these lists are meant to start a conversation, not to describe anyone accurately.
Published lists disagree, which is the nature of this format. Legado da DC, a Portuguese-language entertainment site, pairs Wonder Woman with Aries and Aquaman with Aquarius. The Times of India’s March 16, 2022 list gives Aries to Green Arrow and Pisces to Wonder Woman. The Minds Journal, published March 13, 2024 and updated July 30, 2025, puts Batman under Aries and Wonder Woman under Leo. Each of these is an editorial call, and none is an official DC mapping.

What DC has actually said
The only official DC material on this question that we found is a reader Q&A on DC.com, the publisher’s “Ask the Question” column, published July 15, 2021. A reader asked about Aquaman’s birthday and astrological sign. The answer explains that DC’s 1976 Super Calendar assigned birthdays to major characters, and it quotes the calendar’s scope: “All of your DC (Bronze Age) birthday needs were answered in 1976, with DC’s only ever Super Calendar—a piece of merchandise which assigned practically every day of the year a corresponding birthday of a major DC character who had been created before that point.” The only canonical birthday information for Aquaman in that answer is January 29, which makes him an Aquarius.
That is a birthday reference, not a sign-by-sign chart. DC’s answer does not assign the other eleven signs, so every other pairing below is interpretation.
Quick reference
Date ranges are approximate. Cut-off days shift by a day or so from year to year and between astrological traditions.

The twelve matches
Aries: Green Arrow
Aries is the sign that acts first, and Oliver Queen often does the same. His crusade begins with impulse and a bow, and he learns the cost of moving before he has a full plan. He is a fighter for people others overlook, which carries the sign’s courage without the lone-wolf stereotype.
Why this hero: His early work in Star City, his trick arrows, and his habit of taking the fight to bigger threats than he is prepared for all show the sign’s boldness in action.

Taurus: Hawkman
Taurus is steady, loyal and difficult to move once committed. Carter Hall carries a single purpose across many lifetimes and refuses to let it go, which turns devotion into a kind of stubbornness that works in his favor.
Why this hero: His commitment to his mission across incarnations is the most visible example of loyalty that doesn’t bend, which is the Taurus trait people point to most often.
Gemini: Nightwing
Gemini is quick-talking, adaptable and comfortable with two sides of a story. Dick Grayson started as Robin, grew into a hero in his own right as Nightwing, and has spent his career balancing his own identity against the shadow of Batman.

Why this hero: He is a natural performer in both identities, and his quick thinking and charm make the dual-life dynamic feel like a Gemini trait rather than just a plot device.
Cancer: Martian Manhunter
Cancer is protective, nurturing and attuned to home. J’onn J’onzz, the last survivor of Mars, chose Earth as his home and adopted its people as his own. His telepathy makes him unusually sensitive to what others are feeling.

- HUGE COMIC BOOK LOT 25 MARVEL DC INDY SUPERMAN BATMAN X-MEN NO DUPLICATES
Why this hero: His protectiveness of the people he has taken in, along with his outsider’s longing for a place to belong, captures the emotional core usually linked to Cancer.
Leo: Wonder Woman
Leo is confident, generous and drawn to the stage. Diana of Themyscira carries herself with regal pride and treats her role as a champion of people as a matter of honor, not vanity. Her warmth is as visible as her strength.

Why this hero: His discipline, seriousness and determination to prove himself through work reflect the sign’s reputation for maturity and ambition.
Aquarius: Aquaman
Aquarius is independent, unconventional and invested in the wider world. Arthur Curry belongs to two worlds, the surface and Atlantis, and his role as a king who answers to the people around him is an unusual fit for a monarch. DC’s own birthday information puts him here, which makes this the one pairing with an official basis in the publisher’s material.

Pisces is intuitive, empathetic and open to what others miss. DC’s official character directory describes Dreamer as a precog who protects vulnerable people, which makes foresight and protective care the core of the character.
