Billie Joe Armstrong ranks highest in the estimates reviewed: Celebrity Net Worth puts his net worth at $75 million, compared with $60 million for Mike Dirnt and $55 million for Tré Cool. These are estimates, not verified personal financial disclosures.
How the three estimates compare
Celebrity Net Worth lists the following figures for Green Day’s core trio. A February 2026 comparison by Showbiz Cheat Sheet reported the same amounts and attributed them to Celebrity Net Worth.

How reliable are the figures?
Celebrity Net Worth says its calculations draw on public sources and, when provided, private tips and feedback from celebrities or their representatives. It also says that, unless otherwise indicated, its figures are estimates. The site does not provide independently audited personal balance sheets or a reproducible valuation method for these individual figures.

The individual profiles were accessed on October 8, 2026, but do not give a clear date for when each estimate was last updated. The February 8, 2026, Showbiz Cheat Sheet comparison offers a dated report of the ranking, not independent verification of the underlying amounts. Accordingly, the numbers are best read as a commonly reported estimate rather than an official disclosure.
Why the ranking does not explain the members’ finances
The figures give a ranking, but the sources reviewed do not establish how assets, debts, private business interests, music-catalog ownership, taxes, or other personal financial details were independently assessed. They therefore do not support a confident explanation for why the estimates differ.

For context, Green Day’s historical band biography identifies Armstrong as guitarist and vocalist and Dirnt as bassist, with Cool joining as drummer in 1990. Armstrong described the trio’s musical connection in an April 2024 Library of Congress interview: “What you hear with Green Day is that the sort of energy that is me and Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool and that we’ve just been playing together forever.”
