Sister Wives star Meri Brown says money she contributed toward a home bought by her former husband, Kody Brown, and his wife Robyn remains disputed. The disagreement is over whether the contribution was a loan, a gift or shared family money—not an established court judgment or verified debt amount.

Which Sister Wives star says her ex owes her money?

The dispute involves Meri Brown and her former husband, Kody Brown, and concerns proceeds from the sale of Meri’s Las Vegas home that went toward a home in Arizona bought by Kody and Robyn Brown. The accounts were discussed during part two of the Sister Wives: 1-on-1 special, which aired Jan. 18, 2026, according to E! and Us Weekly.

Why does Meri say the contribution is still owed?

The central disagreement is how to characterize the money used toward Kody and Robyn’s Arizona home. E! reports that Meri described her contribution as disputed, saying, “With my contribution, whatever words he wants to put to it,” as the conversation turned to whether it was a loan or a gift. The recap does not establish agreed repayment terms or an exact balance.

What Meri said about the Las Vegas proceeds

Meri said she did not challenge Kody receiving half of the Las Vegas proceeds, despite saying she had lived in the home for most of the time and made its payments. Us Weekly quoted her saying she was “not going to fight” the split because Kody’s name was on the property. That account of the proceeds is separate from the dispute over money applied to the Arizona home.

What did Kody and Robyn say?

Kody’s account

Kody described the Arizona-home money as a gift, while also saying Meri would be paid. E! quoted him saying they would “take care of this,” and reported that the particulars still had to be negotiated. The coverage does not say that a payment amount or schedule was finalized.

Robyn’s account

Robyn described the contribution and discussions differently from Meri. The recaps say she raised a non-disclosure agreement and Meri’s concern about recovering her investment. The accounts do not include the agreement itself or establish what its terms were.

How does Coyote Pass fit into the disagreement?

The money discussion overlapped with talks about selling Coyote Pass, the family’s property. E! and Us Weekly report differing accounts of contributions, ownership shares and a proposed confidentiality agreement. The recaps do not provide underlying contracts or property records, so they do not resolve how the Coyote Pass discussions affect the separate Arizona-home contribution.

Did Meri get paid, and does Kody legally owe her?

The reviewed coverage does not confirm a later payment. It also does not establish that Kody or Robyn legally owes Meri a particular amount: the reports are episode recaps, not a court ruling or the underlying loan, deed, sale or divorce records. Based on the available accounts, the contribution and repayment remain disputed, and no verified debt figure is reported.
