Roscoe Conklin is the Reacher character who most deserves another appearance. But Season 4 has already premiered, and its official cast listing does not include Roscoe, played by Willa Fitzgerald. The case for bringing her back is now a request for a future season—not a prediction that she will appear.
Season 4 is out, but Roscoe is not listed in its cast
Prime Video’s Season 4 premiered on August 12, 2026, and all its episodes are available to stream. The official season cast information does not list Willa Fitzgerald or Roscoe Conklin. Paramount’s broader series listing does include Fitzgerald among the show’s cast, but that is not confirmation of a Season 4 appearance. Prime Video’s Season 4 listing and Paramount Global Content’s series listing distinguish the season’s credits from the show’s overall cast.

Why Roscoe would make a meaningful return
She brings a local law-enforcement perspective
Roscoe is a capable local police officer, not another member of Reacher’s former military circle. That difference matters in a series built around a traveler who arrives in a new place, encounters trouble, and usually moves on. A returning Roscoe could meet him with knowledge of her community and professional experience grounded in civilian law enforcement. The value of that contrast is an editorial argument, not an official characterization of her future role.

Her connection with Reacher is reciprocal
Roscoe was more than a useful contact for Reacher’s investigation: their relationship gave the first season a personal connection that did not depend on his old unit. Bringing her back would let the show explore what remains between two people after Reacher has left town, rather than simply recreating their original partnership.
A return could be effective precisely because it is occasional
Amazon describes Reacher as adapting one Lee Child book per season. Each new case can bring a different setting and supporting cast, so a familiar character’s reappearance has the potential to make the series’ past feel consequential without turning Reacher’s travels into a fixed ensemble story. Roscoe could return for a story that gives her a reason to be there, then leave the road open for the next case.

Why Roscoe’s case is different from Neagley’s
Frances Neagley already provides recurring continuity across the first three seasons and now has a series of her own. About Amazon calls her “one of Reacher’s most-trusted companions” and says she “arguably knows him better than anyone.” The official Season 3 character guide documents her established place in the franchise.
Neagley’s prominent role is not a reason to leave Roscoe behind. The two characters offer different kinds of connection: Neagley belongs to Reacher’s military past, while Roscoe represents a relationship formed in a town where he was only passing through. A return for Roscoe would broaden the show’s sense of continuity rather than repeat Neagley’s function. The series has also expanded Neagley’s story into a spinoff, with a premiere date announced by Paramount Press Express.

What is confirmed about the next seasons
As of September 28, 2026, Reacher has been renewed for Seasons 5 and 6, and Season 5 is in production, based on Make Me. The announcement does not confirm Roscoe’s return. Paramount Press Express’s September 28 update reports the renewals and production status; no official announcement in that update names Fitzgerald or Roscoe as part of a future season.
The same release reports company figures of 66 million global viewers in the first 28 days of Season 4 and more than 200 million viewers worldwide since Season 1 launched. It also says 58% of the audience is international, with particularly strong performance in the U.K., Germany, and Brazil. These are figures reported by Amazon MGM Studios, not independent audience estimates.

That scale makes the question of which supporting characters return consequential, but it does not settle who is “most underrated.” That label is subjective; the case for Roscoe rests on the specific perspective and relationship she could bring back. Season 4 did not include her on its official cast list. With Seasons 5 and 6 confirmed, a later season still has room to revisit the character—though no return has been announced.
