The promo that circulated with that claim is labeled for Episode 3, and the official Episode 4 synopsis describes a different story: Sheldon finds his dorm room occupied. The episode title, “Ants on a Log and a Cheating Winker,” is the only public detail that points toward a cheating storyline, and it does not say who is cheating or on whom.

Why the trailer claim does not hold up
The video that has been linked to the claim is a YouTube upload by TV Promos. Its title and accessible description identify it as Season 7, Episode 3 material, not Episode 4. The description gives the Episode 3 synopsis and does not mention Sheldon discovering a parent’s infidelity. A promo cannot be treated as an Episode 4 trailer on the strength of its title alone, and nothing retrieved shows the cheating scene in that footage.
The Episode 3 synopsis that CBS/Paramount published in a February 8, 2024 press announcement covers different ground: Sheldon exploring Germany behind Mary’s back, Missy trying to fool George Sr., and Meemaw and Dale adjusting to living together. That is the story the promo describes.

What the official Episode 4 synopsis says
Disney+ summarizes Episode 4 as Missy stepping up, Mary surprising George, and Sheldon finding his dorm room occupied. The summary does not mention Sheldon witnessing a cheating incident involving his father. Official synopses are short and can omit subplots, so they cannot rule out every reference to infidelity. They do establish that the episode’s described premise is not a reveal of George cheating.

How to check an episode trailer yourself
- Confirm the season and episode number in the video title or the uploader’s description before treating it as a preview of a given episode.
- Compare any plot claim with the official episode summary from the network or Disney+ listing.
- Be cautious of fan summaries that combine the episode title with a promo from a neighboring episode.
- Check the air date against a listing such as TV Guide, since broadcast and streaming dates can differ by region.
What remains unresolved
The title’s wording, “A Cheating Winker,” suggests a character is cheating, and that could be tied to the family’s ongoing storyline about George Sr. However, the public materials available for this article do not say who the cheater is, whether Sheldon is involved, or how the subplot resolves. Viewers who want certainty should watch the episode itself rather than rely on a promo label or a fan summary.

The Bottom Line
The Season 7, Episode 4 trailer claim is not supported by the available evidence. The circulating promo is for Episode 3, and the official Episode 4 summary describes Sheldon finding his dorm room occupied rather than catching his father cheating.
