JaNa Craig’s account
Her 2025 statements
Craig’s first public statement, posted to Instagram Stories on July 29, 2025 and reproduced by Marie Claire, described a painful discovery: “Discovering that someone you loved isn’t who you thought they were and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn’t been genuine since day one has been truly devastating.” That wording is a statement about how she felt at the time, not a description of a specific event.
In an August 2025 interview with People, reported by Teen Vogue on August 25, 2025, she revised her view of the relationship. She said: “I thought it was a good relationship. But it wasn’t, and that’s fine.” She also said: “The red flags that people saw, I didn’t see.” Those lines describe how her perception changed. She did not name a specific incident that ended the relationship.

Her response to the 2026 podcast
After Rodriguez’s podcast comments in July 2026, Craig disputed his account, according to Us Weekly. In an August 2026 interview, she said she wanted to share her side but had been advised by lawyers to remain quiet. She has not, in the reporting reviewed here, published a detailed timeline of the relationship.
Kenny Rodriguez’s account
His July 2025 statement
Rodriguez’s Instagram Story on July 29, 2025, reproduced by Marie Claire, read in part: “I’ll always be grateful for the time [JaNa and I] shared and the memories we created. I release this chapter with no ill will, only a hope that JaNa’s path forward brings her nothing but happiness.” He said he was processing the split privately. He did not describe the reasons for it.

His July 2026 podcast comments
On The Journey Podcast in July 2026, Rodriguez discussed a text message sent before the show and said he regretted a generalized statement he had made. He also gave his account of their interactions. Us Weekly reported these comments and Craig’s dispute of them. Because the two accounts contradict each other, neither can be treated as the settled version of events.
Why the 2026 accounts matter, and what they do not settle
The 2026 exchange is the first time either person has offered a detailed explanation, and it is the only point at which the public record moved from general statements to specific claims. It still does not establish cause. The podcast allegations and Craig’s denial are two conflicting accounts with no independent corroboration in the reporting reviewed. A reader can see that the two accounts disagree. A reader cannot verify which one is accurate.

What remains unestablished
- No source reviewed identifies one definitive, independently verified reason for the split.
- The text message and the interactions Rodriguez described are not independently confirmed.
- Craig’s remark about red flags is a retrospective reflection, not evidence of a specific cause.
- Castmates’ opinions and social-media reactions are not proof of why the relationship ended.
- Whether the two will speak publicly again, or whether Craig will publish a fuller account, is not stated in any source reviewed.
How to judge claims about the breakup
- Check the speaker and date. A statement from July 2025 and one from July 2026 may describe the same relationship very differently.
- Separate first-person statements from reported allegations. “I didn’t see the red flags” is a statement about perception. An account of a text message is an allegation.
- Look for corroboration. A claim supported by a named outlet’s reporting is more reliable than one repeated from a podcast or social post, though neither proves the claim.
- Be cautious about any article presenting a single cause as settled. The available record does not support that.
In short, the split is confirmed, the timeline is documented, and the reasons are disputed in 2026 rather than resolved.
