Miles Morales does not have one girlfriend across every version of the character. In the Spider-Verse films, Gwen Stacy is his main romantic interest, but the official material does not present them as a established couple. The comics have featured other relationships at different points, including Katie and Starling. The PlayStation games and Jason Reynolds’s novel each tell their own story, so the answer changes with the version you mean.
Start with the continuity
Most confusion about Miles’s love life comes from treating four separate versions of the character as one. Marvel’s comics, Sony’s animated films, the Insomniac PlayStation games, and Jason Reynolds’s young-adult novel each have their own storylines. Before naming anyone as his girlfriend, check which one you are asking about.
What each continuity shows
Spider-Verse films
Gwen Stacy is the character most readers have in mind. Sony Pictures’ official Across the Spider-Verse character description calls her “Miles’s friend from another universe.” The page does not attribute that line to a named person, so treat it as official character copy rather than a quote from a filmmaker. Sony’s Japanese official character profile goes further, describing Miles as secretly having romantic feelings for her. The official material supports the phrases “romantic interest” or “crush.” It does not establish that the two are a couple.
Marvel comics
Marvel’s official character biography points to several relationships over time rather than one permanent partner. It references Miles preparing to tell Katie that he is Spider-Man, and it describes Starling stepping in during a fight. Those details show different relationships in different periods. They do not name a single girlfriend for the whole comics run. The biography could not be opened in full during checking, so the comics details here rest on its published excerpt, which may not reflect the newest issues.

PlayStation games
Sony’s official PlayStation series page covers the Insomniac games and names Miles’s friends, including Ganke. It does not identify a girlfriend for Miles in that continuity. Fan summaries sometimes fill this gap with a romance, but that claim is not in the official page, so do not repeat it as canon.
Jason Reynolds’s novel
Disney Books’ official listing for Miles Morales: Spider-Man says Miles is “crushing on brainy, beautiful poet Alicia.” This is a crush that belongs to the novel’s story. It does not carry over to the comics or the films.

Quick comparison
| Continuity | Romantic figure named in official material | Status shown by the source | Source |
|---|---|---|---|

| Marvel comics | Katie, Starling | Relationships at different story points; no single permanent girlfriend | Marvel official character biography (excerpt only) |
| PlayStation games | Not stated | No girlfriend identified in the official series page | PlayStation official series page |
| Jason Reynolds novel | Alicia | Crush within the novel’s story | Disney Books official listing |
Crush, romantic interest, or girlfriend?
These terms are not interchangeable. A crush is one character’s feelings for another. A romantic interest is a character the story positions as a possible partner. A girlfriend implies an established relationship that the story confirms. Across these sources, only the novel and the Spider-Verse profile describe feelings directly, and none of the official pages confirm an established relationship in the films or games. If you are answering a casual question, “Gwen Stacy is the romantic interest in the films” is accurate; “Gwen is Miles’s girlfriend” goes beyond what the official sources say.

Comics continuity changes with each new run, and the Marvel biography captured here is an overview rather than a current issue-by-issue record. The official pages reviewed do not settle every current comics storyline. For the films and games, the most recent official material supports the statements above as of this writing, but new releases, tie-in comics, or updated character pages could change the picture.
