Luke Newton is a British actor best known for playing Colin Bridgerton in Netflix’s Bridgerton. His career includes early television work, musical theatre and a recent off-Broadway appearance. His training history is reported inconsistently, so the commonly repeated claim that he attended the BRIT School needs qualification.

How did Luke Newton begin his acting career?

Where did Luke Newton study?
Accounts of Newton’s training conflict. Netflix Tudum’s cast guide says he trained at the BRIT School and then the London School of Musical Theatre. In an interview with The Independent, Newton corrected the widely repeated BRIT School claim: he said he did not attend the school, and instead studied musical theatre at a college near Brighton while working on The Cut. The accounts do not align, so the BRIT School claim should not be presented as settled fact.
What else has Luke Newton appeared in?
Newton’s agency CV lists Bridgerton seasons 1–4, The Cut and the stage production The Shape of Things. A Netflix Tudum feature published June 10, 2026, also mentions his recent off-Broadway appearance, but does not specify the venue or dates. These sources establish selected credits, not a complete or definitive current filmography.
