The Costco Guys are A.J. Befumo and his son Eric, who performs online as “Big Justice.” The father-and-son duo became recognizable on TikTok through Costco shopping trips and food reviews, built around emphatic “Boom” and “Doom” verdicts and the catchphrase in their “We’re Costco Guys” video.
Who A.J. and Big Justice are
A.J. Befumo and Eric “Big Justice” Befumo are a father-and-son creator duo based in Boca Raton, Florida, according to a July 19, 2024 profile in Rolling Stone Canada. That profile describes their output as Costco shopping vlogs and food reviews. Location and details reflect that reporting date and may have changed since.
The “Big Justice” name has a wrestling origin. A.J. previously wrestled professionally under the name “the American Powerchild Eric Justice,” and the profile reports that his son’s name reflects that persona. In the same interview, A.J. said, “The world is awesome right now,” a line that captures the upbeat tone the duo brings to their videos.
How the format works
Each video follows a simple loop: the pair walks through Costco, reacts to a food item or product, and delivers a verdict with an emphatic shout. Two terms carry the format.
#1 Best Overall
- Like and Subscribe design looks great on men, women, and kids. This design is a nice choice for video producer gifts and social media gifts.
- Social Media Influencer Like and Subscribe is perfect for social media influencer gifts and social media marketing gifts.
- Lightweight, Classic fit, Double-needle sleeve and bottom hem
- Boom is a positive verdict. A product that earns it is endorsed in the duo’s delivery.
- Doom is a negative verdict. It is the rejection half of the pair and is used with the same theatrical energy.
- The five-boom scale is how The Ringer describes the rating system in a November 1, 2024 explainer. The format evolved from a simple yes-or-no call into a graded scale.
The catchphrases are the reason viewers recognize the duo after a few seconds of a clip. “We’re Costco Guys” is the line most often attached to the title, and “We Bring the Boom” later extended the same language into a song.
The viral milestones and what the numbers mean
The “We’re Costco Guys” video and the duo’s follower count grew quickly in 2024. Two publications reported figures at different points that year. Both are dated snapshots, not current totals.

| Publication and date | “We’re Costco Guys” video views | TikTok followers |
|---|---|---|
| Rolling Stone Canada, July 19, 2024 | More than 47 million | More than 1.3 million |
| The Ringer, November 1, 2024 | 56.7 million | More than 2 million |
The two sets of figures are consistent with each other. The later report reflects growth between July and November 2024. No figure here should be read as a current count, and any number about the duo should be cited with its publication and date.
Collaborators and appearances
The Rizzler
The Rizzler is a child creator who appears alongside the duo in their content. The Ringer’s explainer, “Who (or What) Is the Rizzler? A Big Boom FAQ,” states that he is a collaborator and is not a member of the Befumo family. Readers who see him in a video should not assume a family relationship.

Television and music
The duo appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2024. Their song “We Bring the Boom” carried the catchphrases beyond the Costco videos, and Rolling Stone Canada’s July 2024 profile framed the pair around the song of the summer that year.
Wrestling and AEW
A.J.’s wrestling background links the duo to the wrestling world. The Costco Guys’ official Linktree lists an AEW debut video. An SB Nation interview published July 22, 2025, titled “The ‘Costco Guys’ talk to SB Nation about their time in AEW, and haircuts,” covers that connection in their own words.

Great Clips
A July 2025 SB Nation interview listing describes A.J. and Big Justice as Great Clips back-to-school campaign ambassadors. That listing dates the arrangement to 2025. It does not establish whether the campaign is still running, so the relationship should be presented as a 2025 role rather than an ongoing one.

The official Costco Guys Linktree, reviewed October 8, 2026, points to their social channels, the AEW debut video, A.J.’s meatball recipe, and Lubriderm Daily Moisture Lotion. The lotion link documents a brand connection. By itself, it does not establish a paid endorsement, an affiliate arrangement, or current campaign terms.
