The White House responded after Ariana Grande reposted a message asking Donald Trump supporters whether everyday parts of their lives had improved. The post, by Matt Bernstein, asked about grocery prices, health insurance premiums, work-life balance, vacations and happiness. White House Deputy Press Secretary Kush Desai answered with a defense of President Trump’s record and a reference to Ticketmaster.
What Ariana Grande shared
In late September 2025, Grande reposted an Instagram message by Matt Bernstein. TheWrap reported the exchange on September 29, saying Bernstein’s post asked Trump supporters: “have your groceries gotten cheaper? has your health insurance premium gone down? has your work/life balance improved? can you take a vacation yet? are you happier?” TheWrap’s report reproduces the questions and the White House response.
Bernstein’s post described the period as “250 days.” That is the post’s framing of the elapsed time, not an independently verified measure of changes in people’s circumstances.
How the White House responded
Kush Desai, identified by TheWrap as a White House Deputy Press Secretary, responded to Entertainment Weekly. The Daily Beast also attributed a response to White House spokesman Desai.

Desai’s reply began: “Save your tears, Ariana. Because President Trump’s actions ended Joe Biden’s inflation crisis and are bringing in trillions in new investments,” he stated. Those economic statements are Desai’s claims; the cited coverage reports the response but does not independently establish them.
He also referred to ticketing: “He even signed an executive order just like magic that paved the way for the FTC to crack down on Ticketmaster for ripping off Ariana Grande’s concert-going fans. Get well soon, Ariana!”

What the Ticketmaster reference means
The Daily Beast characterized the FTC matter as a lawsuit against Live Nation and Ticketmaster alleging inflated prices in the secondary concert-ticket market. The reports establish that Desai connected the enforcement action to an executive order, but they do not establish that the order directly caused the FTC action. The Daily Beast’s account provides that context.
