When was Apple TV+ free for the weekend?
Apple announced that its all-access free weekend would run January 3–5, 2025. Those are the dates in Apple’s December 30, 2024 announcement; the promotion is no longer active.
Apple said viewers needed an Apple ID and could watch on devices where Apple TV+ was available. Its announcement did not spell out detailed eligibility exclusions or guarantee access to every title, so it is best understood as a broadly available service promotion rather than a title-by-title access promise. What should I watch on Apple TV+?
For the 2025 event, Apple promoted the following titles. This is the list from that dated announcement, not confirmation that every title is in the current catalog. Check Apple TV before planning a watch today.

What is Apple TV+’s current free offer?
Apple’s U.S. service page currently advertises seven days free for new subscribers, followed by $14.99 per month. This is separate from the expired 2025 weekend offer; price and eligibility can vary by region and account, so check Apple’s local service page for the offer available to you. Apple says Apple TV can be watched through the Apple TV app on Apple and Android devices, smart TVs, streaming devices, game consoles, and online.
