Ross Malinger played Jonah Baldwin, the young son of Sam Baldwin, Hanks’s character, in Nora Ephron’s 1993 romantic comedy *Sleepless in Seattle*. A contemporaneous 1993 review also identifies Malinger as Jonah (The Criterion).

What did Ross Malinger do after Sleepless in Seattle?
Malinger did not stop acting after the film. He continued working through the 1990s and into the 2000s, taking roles in feature films and television, as well as voice work. Retrospective accounts list film credits including Bye Bye Love, Sudden Death, Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco and Toothless. His television work included Seinfeld, Party of Five, Touched by an Angel and the sitcoms Good Advice and Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher (Fox News; Yahoo Entertainment; Apple TV).
He also voiced T.J. Detweiler on the animated series Recess, a role distinct from his live-action work.

When did he stop appearing on screen?
Fox News and Yahoo Entertainment identify a 2006 episode of Without a Trace as Malinger’s last reported screen appearance. Their retrospective accounts describe him as having stepped away from acting after that point. That is a useful endpoint for his publicly reported screen career, not proof of what he does today.

The available retrospective coverage says Malinger has kept a low profile, but it does not reliably establish his current occupation, residence or personal life, or give a verified reason for leaving acting. Without a direct, current source for those details, claims about his present-day job or motives should be treated as unconfirmed. The clearest answer is that he built a substantial run of screen and voice credits after *Sleepless in Seattle*, with his last reported screen role in 2006.
