A follow-up PerthNow report on 27 November 2024 said the couple shared wedding photographs on Instagram. Their children, Hudson, Marlee and Lewie, appeared in the images. The post’s reported caption was “We thought, why knot”.
The same report said McGovern and Williams first crossed paths while living in Albany and met while he was working at Chicken Treat.

McGovern’s career after the wedding
McGovern retired from AFL in June 2025 after a 197-game career. ABC News, carrying an Australian Associated Press report, said the AFL Concussion Panel had recommended his retirement. His retirement statement thanked the club: “It’s been an absolute honour to pull on the West Coast jumper for the past 15 years and it’s something that I will forever be grateful for,” he said.
West Coast’s player profile records McGovern’s 2014 debut, five All-Australian selections, the Eagles’ 2018 premiership and his 2024 John Worsfold Medal.
