Warner Bros. promoted its 2024 film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice with a Roblox game that included a Fandango storefront for buying real-world movie tickets. The “virtual box office” was a ticket-purchase feature inside the game—not a cinema in Roblox or a Robux-only transaction. Roblox’s case study says the feature was available to U.S. users aged 13 and older.
What was the Beetlejuice Roblox experience?
Beetlejuice: Escape the Afterlife was a Roblox experience developed by Sawhorse to promote Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Its setting drew on the film’s Afterlife, with an escape-style activity in which players teamed up to rescue characters. GamesBeat’s August 5, 2024 launch report describes an Afterlife lobby, the Waiting Room, and a model of Adam Maitland’s Winter River; Roblox’s case study describes the rescue activity. The promotion also reached players in four other Roblox experiences—Escape Running Head, Carry a Friend, The Floor Is LAVA!, and Barry’s Prison Run—which could direct them through portals into the Escape the Afterlife hub, according to Roblox’s case study.
Could players buy Beetlejuice movie tickets on Roblox?
Yes, during the 2024 campaign, eligible players could use a virtual Fandango box office in the experience to purchase tickets to the real film. Roblox’s September 2024 newsroom article also confirms that people bought tickets to the sequel through the in-game storefront. It was an integration with a real-world ticket purchase, not a digital ticket usable only inside Roblox. Roblox newsroom

Roblox’s campaign case study says the ticket feature was available to users in the United States aged 13 and older. That qualification applies to this feature as documented for the campaign; it should not be read as access for every Roblox user or every region.
What did ticket buyers receive?
Roblox says ticket purchasers received an exclusive Beetlejuice Beetlejuice avatar item with in-game effects. The documented reward was a digital Roblox item, not a physical collectible.

What results did Roblox report?
Roblox for Brands’ case-study overview states that Warner Bros. drove an 11-percentage-point lift in theater visit intent among visitors to Escape the Afterlife. Treat that as Roblox’s reported case-study result, not an independently verified finding: the same page displays zeroes in several metric fields, including the theater-visit-intent field. The page therefore presents an inconsistency, and it does not provide a clearly usable total for experience visits or video views. Roblox for Brands case study
The case study also cites Newzoo’s Global Games Market Report 2024 for the statement that 47% of U.S. Roblox users aged 13 and older are Gen Z. That is audience context, not a measured outcome of the Beetlejuice campaign.

Is the Beetlejuice Roblox experience or ticket counter still available?
The available campaign coverage documents the 2024 promotion, but does not establish whether Beetlejuice: Escape the Afterlife or its ticket counter remains available now. The ticket integration was tied to the film’s 2024 release campaign, and current ticket availability is likewise not established. Anyone looking for the experience or tickets should check Roblox and Fandango directly rather than assume the former campaign storefront is still active.
