The timing put the shows in competition for wrestling viewers, though the available reporting does not establish that WWE or AAA chose the time to target AEW.
When and where was AAA Alianzas CDMX streaming?
On November 21, 2025, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide announced that Alianzas CDMX would stream live the following night on the official AAA and WWE YouTube channels. The announced start was 7:15 p.m. Pacific / 10:15 p.m. Eastern. AAA’s post gave the local Mexico time as 9:15 p.m.
Those are the announced times for a historical event, not a current schedule. The report carrying the announcement described Alianzas CDMX as a TV taping.
How did the schedule overlap with AEW Full Gear?
AEW’s Full Gear main broadcast was scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET on November 22, 2025. AAA’s announced 10:15 p.m. ET start came later that evening, creating a same-night scheduling clash rather than a simultaneous start. A report suggested the AAA stream would begin around when the Full Gear main event was likely to start, but the sources available do not confirm when that match actually began.

The distribution was different, too. AAA announced a live YouTube stream. A contemporaneous Tom’s Guide viewing guide listed paid U.S. options for Full Gear, including PPV.com, YouTube and Amazon Prime. Those platform details describe the 2025 event, not current rights or availability.

Why WWE was streaming an AAA show
WWE announced on April 21, 2025, that it had agreed to acquire AAA in partnership with Mexico-based holding company Fillip. WWE said the Peña family, associated with AAA’s founding and history, would remain involved in the promotion’s next chapter. The announcement provides context for WWE’s role in promoting the stream; it does not establish why the event was scheduled opposite Full Gear.
WWE’s corporate announcement described AAA as founded in 1992. WWE also reported figures for a separate event, TripleMania XXXIII: more than 4.3 million viewers in the first 24 hours and a peak live concurrent audience of 614,000. WWE said that event streamed globally on the WWE and AAA YouTube channels in Spanish and English. Those are WWE-reported figures for TripleMania XXXIII, not independently audited audience numbers for Alianzas CDMX.
