What did Vin Diesel say to The Rock at the Golden Globes?
Diesel, who was presenting, looked toward Johnson and said, “Hey Dwayne.” The Associated Press reported that the remark prompted scattered laughter and that the broadcast camera cut to Johnson. Calling the moment “taking aim” adds an interpretation. The words themselves were a brief greeting, not an explicit insult or accusation.
Did the Golden Globes moment mean the feud had resumed?
It does not prove that. AP described a years-long reported dispute tied to the Fast & Furious films and noted that Diesel said in 2023 that the pair were done beefing. The 2025 greeting is a public interaction, but it does not establish the status of their private relationship or show that their disagreement had restarted.

Why did Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson feud?
Their public disagreement emerged during production of The Fate of the Furious in 2016. Johnson posted that some male co-stars were not behaving professionally, calling them “candy asses.” Vanity Fair’s timeline reported that Diesel was understood to be the target, though the post did not name him. Johnson later described the conflict as a difference in how they approached filmmaking and collaboration. In 2018, ABC News reported his account that he and Diesel had several discussions, including a face-to-face conversation in Johnson’s trailer.
